I recently just platinumed LA Noire.
Jesus it was so long and the trophies were no fun to get as they were just collectables really and really tedious. But I'm glad I can finally put this game behind me.
What about you guys?
Gunstar Heroes. I'd have said Costume Quest, but it includes DLC only achievements alongside regular ones, regardless of whether or not you actually have the DLC.
Bioshock. Hard Mode was surprisingly easy, as was not using Vita Chambers. I died no more than 10 times throughout the entire game.
I have well over 60, but I'm not sure what my most recent was. LA Noire I guess. That one was piss easy.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow. Still working on the DLC though.
Now I have in mind Brotherhood. But the online achievements are kind of random, so that could take forever so I dropped the idea.
And working on FF XIII. That one is gonna take me another 30-40 hours though.
I got 1000 points in Assassin's Creed 2 and I have never got it in any other game (nor a Platinum). I have so much love for that and wanted every moment from it so getting 1000/1000 was secondary since I just wanted to keep platforming so I used collectibles as goals.
Though im sure that if Soul Caliber 2 had points I would have gotten them since I did everything that game has and for so long. I got every character, every weapon, every peice of art etc. and I love every moment.
None! At all!
Well, I just have too many games at the moment that I haven't gotten to the end of to worry about getting all of the achievements in any of them. The only person I know of who has all of them is my brother, who has all of the Fallout 3 achievements. All of them including the DLC ones. He practically stole my Xbox and played that game for literally three weeks straight last year. I was busy wrapping up some loose PS2 ends so that's OK.
But me? No, I haven't done so on any game in recent memory though I only have a few on MW2 to get and FEAR 3's should be easy as well.
probably oblivion, i don't really go for achievements as point values, i kind of use them for inspiration for stupid things, or just an excuse to do challenging things
Including downloadable it was costume quest, I think Dead Rising was the last retail I did. I still need the co-op achievement on DR2.
XBLA: Bejeweled Blitz LIVE
360: Call of Duty 2 (only one I ever have, though Mass Efffect 2 will probably be the next)
L. A. Noire on PS3. Auto Fanatic was a pain but otherwise it was pretty straightforward.
@Quipido: Something similar happened to me when I first tried to beat the game on Hard. I was scrolling through the options and accidentally switched the difficulty from Hard to Easy. I immediately corrected it without even leaving the pause menu, but I later found it when I finished the game that that ruined the achievement. So basically, I beat Bioshock on Hard twice.
The Vita Chamber stuff was also frustrating on my first Hard playthrough. I started up the game one day and the game had switched Disable Vita Chamber off without me knowing, so when I died I respawned at one.
Latest platinum would be Burnout Paradise.
Already own the game on another platform but it was offered free with Playstation plus (30 days free) so worked my way through that within about 8 or 9 days. Happens to be my first platinum as I have always had a real love/hate relationship with achievements and trophies. One minute I want to spend ages playing the same game trying to earn them [even if I have no intention of actually getting them all], the next I couldn't care less and would rather move on to something I haven't played.
For 360 its been awhile, probably PoP: Forgotten Sands - those were real easy.
Super Meat Boy when I downloaded a saved game to get the achievement during the Steam Summer Sale and it apparently unlocked everything else. I don't play games to unlock achievements, because they are always masochistic in nature and I play games to have fun.
I just can't grasp the understanding of why people do things they hate just to get them. If they unlocked something cool then I could see it, but just to feel like you have a bigger E-penis then someone else just seems silly.
Never. The only games that I've ever S-ranked are Pac Man CE:DX & Dash of Destruction.
I think Sly 3 from the Sly collection, all three of those were really easy. Right now I'm almost finished with Pac-man CE:DX, that one is really easy.
