I just wanted to throw a big "thank you" at Giant Bomb for doing an awesome job on their first E3. All the content and podcasts made this my go-to site during the whole thing, and I was genuinely surprised by the amount of coverage you guys provided.
So anyways, thanks! You duders rock!
To the Giant Bomb Staff
I think they did a million times better than I thought they'd do. Nothing against them, but they just went down there with a 5 man crew (not to forget the awesome stuff Dan gave us here). It's insane how much they gave us with that few people. It's like they were in 15 different places at once. I'd give the MVPs of the show to Vinny and Drew though. Great videos. Excellent job, guys. Can't wait for mid-June next year!
Word! Kept me entertained all week - highlights for me were the running community commentary on the LIVE BLOGS (thanks, snide + community), Brad's Bioware and MS interviews and the general craziness out on the show floor ('that guy was a pushover...') ... too much other good stuff to mention individually.
Thanks, GB.
For some of them it's actually their fiftieth E3 or something like that.
I think their previous GameSpot E3 experience really helped. They knew exactly what they were doing and provided great coverage as a result.
"Gamespot still had the best coverage. Live videos of everything."
That's why Giantbomb didn't do that: many sites like IGN and Gamespot have that covered anyway, theres no point them wasting time and money putting up live videos.

"@Vinchenzo said:Yep, GameSpot came roaring back with some success with E3 2009 coverage. Really redeemed themselves. I bet GiantBomb guys were jealous of all the GameSpot coverage and live stage, there must have been some friction, especially when walking into the West Hall and the first thing you see is the GameSpot stage. "@Keyser_Soze said:Why would they be jealous? Friction? What the fuck are you talking about? I'm just saying that's why GameSpot has live coverage and such. They have a larger staff, fanbase, and budget. It's understandable for GB not to have the amount of coverage equal to GS. I still say that the GB coverage was better due to the different interviews and podcasts. I prefer the humor of these guys to the stiff style of GS.
Huge round of applause and a big thank you to the GB crew! I definitely enjoyed all of the videos, articles, interviews, podcasts, and microcasts they supplied. There were times I refreshed the main page in my browser way too many times to count just waiting for the next item to be posted (namely podcasts ;P). Loved the background as well! Looking forward to next year's E3 :D
