We should fix that.
Right now, Gamespot and Gametrailers are up there, which is a disservice to the industry (community wise, and in Gamespot's case, journalistic wise).
What do you think?
When I type 'videogames' on Google, Giantbomb does not come up.
It's all to do with Search Engine Optimisation and PageRank. You're never going to beat GameStop and GameTrailers because they have millions of pages with millions of links coming in and are designed with SEO as their main hook to get traffic in.
I think I saw an interview with Whiskey Media where they said they did no SEO, and try to hook new visitors by building the community, providing good content and generating word of mouth.
You'll probably never see GiantBomb on the front-page of Google for the search term "video games".
How often does someone actually type just the words "video games" into google o_O But yeah I agree ^_^ lol
" @Rallier said:Me too." First thing is to get Giant Bomb on the number one spot with google is "rapelay". Right now it is only on the 7th spot. "It's the third for me. "
NAKED CARTOON PUSSY IS THIRD THOUGH!!!
It depends on your location." @Icemael said:

Both Rapelay and naked cartoon pussy are 3rd for me.
It's number one for "Endurance Run".
Giant Bomb will never be the top result for something as broad as "video games". Never.
" Do we want Giantbomb on the main page ? It means more traffic and we could find ourselves washed asunder by waves of idiotic spammers, drawn to the page simply because it was on the Google main page. I'm just saying, be careful what you wish for... "true.
