The Americans need to be knocked off their high horse? I don't really follow football, but I thought they kind of sucked. As in they're already on the ground being dragged by the horse.
@clubsandwich: Why would you make a bet like that? As for that matter, who would take that bet? Spain is of course expected to win, they are a great team and on a winning streak. Anyways, betting on stuff that you have no control over is retarded.

what? no, it's been really bad, Italy fucking dissappointed man, this confederation's cup totally sucked, usa had luck with egypt and that was just enough for them to pass to the semi-finals.
Spain had like 40 something games without losing, they had to lose sometime. USA is still inferior and are lucky to be were they are after getting trashed by Italy and Brazil. But hey this is football, even if you are better you can still lose.

Just because there has been unexpected results doesn't mean it's been bad. There have been many entertaining matches.

biased towards USA? its a USA network haha... and the refs clearly wanted Spain to win the game,, that call at the end was complete bullshit.

Seriously though, I love the explosion of patriotism after you win a trophy in a sport that you as a nation, deem worthy enough to only be played by 8 year old girls. But whatever, wave those flags high!

Maybe because ESPN is AMERICAN. I'm sure Sky Sports is just as biased for England.
As I said in my post, it's okay and completely expected for him to be a bit biased, but to start getting angry at the ref for obvious bogus calls, and when USA was doing their fake falls all through out the second half, he expected for the ref to give Spain a card every time. Be biased, go crazy, cheer for your team, that's all fine, but at least call the game right. Don't defend b.s. plays and calls and don't overly criticize the opposing team. Like it or not, his job is to commentate on the game, not cheer for a team.

I think the Confederations Cup is going along pretty well. As a fan of football it would be boring if the teams who expected to win always won. Italy and Spain losing is an upset but it's good for the sport. Watching football in England and it's always two or three teams challenging for the title is boring. Good luck U.S.A. Like the team you got and the way you play.
Made a bet like that once, but it was for 10 dollars on the Patriots to win the superbowl. The next year I bet on the Cardinals and lost because I figured the underdogs were going to pull through again.

I'm all three Spanish, Italian, and American... but I hate horses, especially high ones.
