What did you watch for Halloween this year?
Alot of Halloweens appeal to me is not only passing out candy to trick or treaters and the whole costume thing, but also the movies that are shown on TV. For example, AMC USED to show a marathon of all the Halloween michael myers movies, but dosent seem to do it to the extent they used to where it would be a all night thing. Or it simply could be movies out of your collection.
Sooo, what did you watch? Personaly, I endulged in the awesomness that was the Rocky Horror Picture Show maraton. Not really a halloween kinda movie, but awesome none the less. in addition mainly just watched halloween themed cartoon episodes on CN and Nicktoons.
I'm kinda doing a three-day thing, but I watched The Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors V (The Shinning, the toaster time machine, and the cannibal cafeteria), The Shining and Shaun of the Dead. Today it was A Nightmare on Elm St 3: Dreeeeam Waaaaarriooooooors! Tomorrow I'm thinking The Crow and Freddy VS Jason.
Wasnt doing it for the day, but I happened to watch the newest Resident Evil movie. It was bad as usual, but it had some neat action scenes.
I forgot it was Halloween (not really an Australian thing) but coincidentally enough I watched the 1958 original version of The Blob last night. I have a real soft spot for that film, especially because it actually creeped me out as a kid but these days it's adorably campy and low-budget.
A lot of movies actually.. Even some cheesy ones like Silent Hill and the god awful Evil Dead ones..
Yeah I said it...
On Halloween I had a marathon and watched Bride of Frankenstein, Scanners and Antichrist, none of which I'd seen before. I also watched the special for Psychoville, which is a horror/comedy BBC TV show that was really good. Don't know if it's accessible somehow in America or not.
Watched a bunch this weekend:
Trick 'r Treat
The Crazies
Daybreakers
Rocky Horror
Hellraiser
28 Weeks Later
28 Days Later
Yeah, on AMC, a bunch of the Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Streets and then I checked out Carrie for the first time this year which was pretty good!
I watched the first Saw film. Not my ideal choice, but I was at a friend's house. It might just be me, but I consider Rocky Horror Picture Show to be a Halloween film as it's shown every year at this time going back to when I was a child. If I had a choice, I would have probably watched something from the eighties, like Creepshow, or Night of the Creeps, or even something new like Trick r Treat.
I was disappointed that Treehouse of Horror Simpsons Halloween special didn't air on Halloween... but I did watch Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin and Nightmare Before Christmas...and the South Park Halloween specials...love the
KoЯn Groovy Mystery episode! South Park has like four halloween episodes I think...
