What place do you often escape to in your mind?

I escape into a world that is like a videogame that I like to play, usually somewhere in a Zelda and Mario atmosphere most of the time. I love my Mario daydreams, because it would be cool to planet hop. I like my Zelda daydreams because I like being stuck in a forest and finding secrets like grottos and temples. I also love the sailing from island to island in my mind too and find secrets like in the Wind Waker.

Besides my daydream similar to being in a Mario or Zelda videogame, I like to often escape into my photo-negative like world. Changing the colors of objects or things in your mind can really make a difference! Just imagine if you were placed in a world where the grass is white and the sky is dark purple, and where the rain is yellow and the snow is red!! That to me would be awesome! Almost sounds like the twilight zone!

It's this office, were I sit with my self (I'm that weird there are 2 of me) and were I talk with myself, go on missions, blow shit up. Good times......

I don't need to escape, I have too many video games to play. :O

If I'm daydreaming at work, it's usually about Seattle, Glacier National Park, or Columbia, Missouri.  I love all those places.  Those, or the county dump!

Oh sure, escaping to alternate realities is all fun and games until one day...

If I REALLY need to escape, I just drive 15 minutes and I'm in the mountains. That's what is so great about Utah. If it's mentally, though, rolling green hills, sometimes the future, but most of the time....

I pretend I'm a sports figure. It's changed over the years, but now I'm a golf phenom, out of nowhere, winner... champion. This bleeds over to my golf video game habit.

I also like stats, history and stuff. I pretend I'm alive in a past history, or I just recite stats I've learned, but that's faded over the years.

I have a small harem of women who normally wouldn't give me the time of day at my command.

Also, a mountain of money.

There is no sanctuary inside my mind. No safe haven or place of tranquility and rest. Only endless torment.

References to british horror comedy aside, I mostly watch movies instead of retreating into my own head, it's much too scary a place to go and i'm fucked up enough as it is. I mostly stick on an old classic movie, or b-movie. Or, where im happiest, an old classic b-movie. I'm happy to sit down and watch The Blob, The Thing, The Wickerman, Alien, Darkman, Evil Dead, etc etc, or some star trek. I watch a lot of classic television too, any series of trek for example is an afternoon not particularly well spent, but I find it so relaxing if im stressed out. Or House, or Spongebob, or The A-Team.  Anime is good too but i'm more into discovering older movies i've missed at the moment, watching things like Moontrap.
