Blue Marlin. The fisherman follows the seagulls till the marlin shadow shows up, but omg its actually a shark. Also one of the marlin's is a mutant and goes on a killing spree skewering people midair.
I think that most video game stories wouldn't work too well in movie format, especially since you'd be condensing a 10+ hour story into a 2 hour movie.
I would like to see a TV series done with a budget beyond belief on Bioshock. Movies are too short to explain the world of Rapture but a movie quality TV show would be fantastic.
Since Hollywood has a habit of slaughtering video game movie, my answer is none. However, if we lived in an alternate universe where Hollywood wasn't so shitty I'd say: Halo, Gears of War, Bioshock, Left 4 Dead, Metal Gear, Syphon Filter
I'm wary to say any because most movies based on games are horrible, but if I was promised it was going to be as good as the game, I'd go with Alan Wake or Metal Gear Solid.
Starcraft has a good universe to throw a movie into. I can't think of any game I'd recreate hit-for-hit in a movie form, though, they're two different mediums and trying to copy the exact story never works. Actually...maybe Deadly Premonition.
Limbo! With Robert De Niro as the little boy and instead of being in a dark forest/ industrial area, hes in New York and is looking for his Grandma and..... ummmm........ uhhhh..... You know what? A Limbo movie would make no sense at all.

And someone will quote me and bring up book-movie adaptations, so let me address that in advance. Let's be honest, shall we? There hasn't been a really, really good Oscar-fodder videogame-movie adaptation, but there have been for books. Plenty, in fact. For example, today, I just saw American Psycho. Damn good movie, better than any video-game movie crossover ever.

In all seriousness, I'm surprised no one has made a Leisure Suit Larry movie yet. It seems to me, the franchise would be perfect for whoever makes those gawd awful "National Lampoon" direct-to-dvd flicks. "National Lampoon Presents Leisure Suit Larry in Two Girls, One Larry"

Like, the reason they act like careless frat boys is that it's the only way for them to keep going. The only way for them to deal with the incredible psychological pressure of knowing that humanity is on the brink of extinction; of dancing with death several times a day; of killing, and killing, and then killing some more. It could be amazing.
