Duderz... Napoleon.  He whipped the puss-bag French into shape and conquered much of Europe.  That and he was shorter than my mom.  Come on now, no contention. 

Out of the ones on that list, it would be Alexander of Macedon who was not only a brilliant tactician (presumed to have never lost a battle) but a charismatic political leader. Sun Tzu would have been a good candidate as well though his actual historical existence is questionable.

Actually that's a myth. Napoleon was in fact 5' 8" which was taller than average for the time. And Genghis Khan is the best since he took a tribe of nomads and conquered the most advanced civilization in the world and then went on and conquered the rest of Asia and half of Europe. "

I'm not particularly fond of warmongering, power obsessed humans... past or present.
They all died at one point in history, either by the sword, poisoning or a fever.
Their lives are now but tales to be told, so that a history professor can have a job.
