I'm fine with this......I plan on owning "The Big 3" so no probs can't wait for it tho!

Yeah this wouldn`t happen, published by Sony, which are Microsoft`s rival at the moment, and I`m guessing wouldn`t want to give away one of there big titles.

Realising my mistake in buying a PS3 just for MGS4. I'm going to buy God of War III then just play it on my cousin's PS3 and take it back when i'm done.

"Not quite. God of War 3 is owned by Sony and developed in-house by their Santa Monica Studios studio. Gears of War is an Epic Games (independent) owned IP exclusively published by Microsoft. That agreement is for 3 games, so afterwards said agreement would need renewal in order for the franchise to remain MS exclusive. God of War is more akin to Halo or Fable."

None of those were developed by Sony. They were just exclusives.

Tecmo, Capcom, Rockstar, Namco, Square. Are any of those Sony owned? Or Are Tekken, Ninja Gaiden, GTA, DMC, Final Fantasy Sony owned IPs?

Guessed so.
Sony Santa Monica is duh Sony owned.
God of War is a Sony owned IP.
But, if you want to put money down, lets do it. How about 1k Euros?"

While the chances of it happening soon are small, never say never.  Sega was once a big dog with Nintendo.  Fanboys then would have sworn that Sonic would never appear on a Nintendo console.  Now he's being pimped out to not only Nintendo, but Microsoft and Sony as well.  Should Sony ever give up on making their own consoles, you could see their big franchises appearing on other consoles.

Of course, even if that were to happen, it'd be far off in the future.  You'd be downloading GoW3 onto your Xbox 2160.  So buying a PS3 might be a better short term solution.

Here is what I think. Don't count on it, it probably won't happen unless somehow the rights are sold. I guess I was wrong, I didn't realize GoW is owned by Sony. My bad. What I think, is that no one should ever buy a platform for one game. Ever. That's a big mistake, what with the price of current-gen consoles and games. Not only that, look at the economy! Do you really want to buy a PS3 for one game?

PS3 used to be in a state where there were no games, the system was a box of potential without being utilized. While I still prefer the Xbox 360 lineup, the online capabilities, and the controller, the PS3 has some killer apps now.

If you want Uncharted, Warhawk, Resistance 1/2, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, MGS4, etc, then maybe you should get the PS3. You might be really happy with that decision, but I guarantee that if you are doing this for only one game you will end up facepalming and kicking yourself for a very long time.

Think about it and try to make an informed decision. That's the best advice I can give you. Good luck!
