Marvel has been coming out with good games in the past 20 years but Marvel Ultimate Alliance is by far the best one.The whole story of the game is that Dr. Doom has risen in power and is unstoppable. Important disclosures prior to the review: I strongly advise that any prospective players turn off the SIXAXIS controls via the options menu before beginning the game. The controls will cause problems throughout the campaign due to lack of sensitivity and poor registering of actions. I received a copy Marvel Ultimate Alliance (MUA) as part of my Xbox 360 Elite and from the outset I have to admit that it is not the type of game that I would typically buy. I'm not sure how well it works playing by yourself, but it's definitely a fun party game. Playing with three friends, working together, using your powers to help each other out, and ganging up on helpless enemies can be a blast. I got pretty far in the game on the Xbox, but we ended up never finishing that game, and I didn't see the end until I played it with a mostly different group on the PS3. The original Marvel: Ultimate was released in 2006, a simpler time for superheroes. I'm a big comic book fan and my collection consists of about 900 right now, so when I got this game I was so excited. I thought I was going to make my own team of my favorite super heroes with their own customized skills and costumes. I had so many problems with this game. First there was alot of bugs and glitches. One instance I was playing as the Thing and Rhino trapped me in a wall, and I couldn't move. Another instance I was playing as Ghost Rider and I some how was thrown off of a ledge by a glitch. Another time I was playing as Blade but the Vision thought I was wolverine, and the Blade started talking as Wolverine. First and foremost, I didn't finish this game so my review of it is pretty shallow. Then again, I guess that should say something about the gameplay. I say this though because there's certainly elements to this game that I missed and can't be taken into account. When i first got my Xbox 360 it came with two game. Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance (MUA). I knew Forza 2 was an awesome racing game, but i wasn't into the racing genre. Anyone who is a fan of the X-Men Legends series have probably all tried this by now, but here is my take on MUA. Story: 2.5The story I feel is very good. As the game progresses, you will definately feel the sense of urgency and despair as Dr. Doom steps closer and closer to taking over the world. The first thing you will notice when you start the game is, wow, this is a lot like X-Men Legends. The reason why you are getting that feeling is because this game is, almost exactly like X-Men Legends, with some exceptions.
