The rumor of Metal Gear Solid 4 on Xbox 360 has been floating around ever since the ambitious title was first announced for PS3 . Many of us constantly heard this rumor and never believed it ,however, recently Kojima himself and Microsoft have been acting secretly .

“Early this morning an article from Kombo written by Matt Furtado stated that they received an email from an unknown publisher which we would like to know from whom. Although it's concerning the upcoming Kojima project, A new patch that will feature Raiden in an upcoming downloadable content update that will take control of Raiden through a total of 2 new chapters or more in the near future.

            What is this man doing in front of Microsoft logo ?!!!

Kombo also stated that trophies are finally be making a debut and speaking of debut. It looks like the XBOX 360 will be experiencing Metal Gear Solid early as spring 2010. The 360 version will come packed with the downloadable content. Kombo also stated that PS3 owners will have it exclusive for several months before the 360 title is released.

Here at Game Of Honor; as much as we love rumors, we would rather get the truth instead of false information. Were all gamers at heart so I for one speaks for everyone when I say "Enough Of The Rumors". It's not a bad effort from Kombo to create such hits to achieve on there site. But Kombo had nothing to back up there sources. We love what we do; get the truth.

so contacted our friends at Kojima Productions on this matter and there reaction toward it.

Kojima Productions :  "unfortunately we are stillnot working on a 360 version of MGS4. How ever, Were revealing something"     

A quick look at the response and to be precise the term “ Still “ tells us that MGS4 is probably planned to be released on XBOX 360 . MGS4 on 360 is yet to be officially announced by either Microsoft or Kojima Production although many gamers expect Microsoft to officially announce it at this year’s E3 .

On another note here is IGN’s Daily Fix regarding this issue :

- Oh. This is straw clutching of the highest degree. I think we should just wait until Monday and see what Kojima's new announcement is. Or wait until E3.

EDIT: If you want to go all analytical about the use of the term "still" - you could equally read it in the sense that the person responding is sick of being asked the question. A.k.a. "we are still not working on MGS4 360, fucking stop asking, k?!"

MGS4 was probably the only reason for me to go and buy a PS3, if it does come out on the 360 I would be really happy.

Haven't played it yet, but while I recognize that MGS4 is a great game, why is a port with new stuff getting so much mroe attention than new games?

My money's on a new Metal Gear Solid, but not a port of MGS4 for the Xbox. I really hope that I'm wrong, though.

I'm just looking for a fix, can't justify a PS3 still, I would buy a 360 version... "snap" just like that.

What? The game is a year old. And it will be two by the time it comes to the 360. Just doesn't make much sense.

I don't think the 360 can handle the enormity of MGS4.  Either it is released on several discs, like Lost Odyssey; or there are majorly scaled-back deficiencies in the graphics.  Either way would be an embarassment to the 360.  It invites a console comparison that suggests the PS3 has better graphics and capabilities; which is true.

I'm pretty sure this site is banned from most message boards as they're never right.

Many gamers have bought a PS3 solely to play MGS4 , if MGS4 hit the X360 Microsoft will make a huge profit since the 360 version will be packed with exclusive contents plus Raiden DLC , so typically even people who bought the game for PS3 once would consider buying/renting it again on 360 . Many and I mean many people still have not played MGS4 because they could not afford the expensive PS3 by the time MGS4 was released  . Last but not least MGS4 on 360 will increase the gap between 360 sales and PS3 sales even further . 

Agreed , Also I should mention that Sony is deeply affected by the recession and maybe they decided to sell MGS4's right so they can keep afloat . Again we are not sure whether MGS4 will come for 360 or not , but if it does then Microsoft will become truly rich .

i just think its Kojima's new game, which has been long rumored to be an FPS. of course it would go to 360, he's not stupid. if you're a 3rd party dev and are going to come out with a new FPS game then you'd be stupid not to make it multiplatform.
