Awesome! I've also added a replays section to the first post.

#102 Posted by SpaceBoat (171 posts) -

Just saw the replay. There goes what little confidence I had :(

C'mon! You can do it too! Your team has a lot of interesting options to trip up the opponent.

#103 Posted by ThaMilkMan (343 posts) -

Wow Spaceboat! Looking at the teams Sebastians was the most threatining looking, I'll have to check the replay and see what happened 'cause that's interesting.

#104 Posted by Itwongo (1120 posts) -

Awesome show! Can't wait to get started"

#105 Edited by Sheeana (6 posts) -

the replay system is a little unwieldy but it was fun watching that match. Also Aegislash seems pretty good.

And although it wasn't intentional I have to say its fitting that the person who has a hawlucha got the by, just seems right

#106 Posted by SpaceBoat (171 posts) -

When I was battling my friends, I noticed that the most awkward thing is Aegislash vs Aegislash. Most Aegislash run Shadow Sneak and Sacred Sword, so Shadow Sneak is your only option for attacking another Aegislash. But it pretty much always attacks while the other one is in defensive stance, where they might live and Shadow Sneak you back. But then, you can King's Shield to get back into defensive stance and gimp them. So there are a lot of Swords Dances thrown around just waiting for the other guy to blink.

Hey guys me and Seeana battled I won. Here's the video code R89W-WWW-WWW2-29SC

#108 Edited by Sheeana (6 posts) -

we ended up doing a best out of three just for fun (first win obviously counted for the tournament) if people wanna watch those here they are

d8uw-wwww-www2-2c42

kxbg-wwww-www2-2c73

made so many mistakes in the first and third match so just watch the second one xD.

good games all around and a good learning experience for me. Milkman's ferrothorn was just better then mine and he did he job of getting in sword dances I think.

#109 Posted by SpaceBoat (171 posts) -

Those were some pretty good battles. 2x freeze makes that the bossest Vaporeon ever.

In my experience Aegislash mirror matches are at least funny to spectate. Also running Iron head over Sacred Sword is really helpful in that situation.

Added the latest replay to the replay table. Keep 'em coming!

I won against @m_33. It was a good match. I'll post the replay once the site updates.

#114 Posted by Breadfan (6589 posts) -

@goranp: Ah, well my fault. Haven't really had enough time to actually put together a team anyway. Enjoy the Pokemadness, duders.

#115 Posted by DarthOrange (3851 posts) -

DarthOrange won against Wess. Good game!

Itwongo rocked his match against me.

R6VG-WWWW-WWW2-42LZ

#117 Posted by Snail (8579 posts) -

This is really cool and well organized - good job! I completely hope to already have the game by the time season two comes around, not having it yet is killing me. :(

#118 Posted by GoranP (1115 posts) -

@darthorange: @snail: Hope to see you guys in the next season!

Latest replays have been added. I'm glad to see that everyone's having a good time.

#119 Edited by DarthOrange (3851 posts) -

I got destroyed by ThaMilkMan.

Here is the code: FF2W-WWWW-WWW2-43UL

#120 Posted by ThaMilkMan (343 posts) -

hey, not destroyed it was a good game :)

#121 Posted by DarthOrange (3851 posts) -

Greninja and Dragonite could've done some things also shuckle might have done something. Just didn't switch in on the right pokes.

#123 Posted by yoshimitz707 (2450 posts) -

OK, maybe I'm dumb but where do I find the code for my last battle on the website?

#124 Posted by yoshimitz707 (2450 posts) -

I found it. YF2G-WWWW-WWW2-48YV

"In Game" ---> Key Items---> VS. Recorder---->click upload folder----> pick video you want to upload.

It then spits out a random code.

#126 Posted by yoshimitz707 (2450 posts) -

Well, I got crushed by Milkman. Not much I could do against an EV trained Gengar that outsped and 1-hit most of my pokemon.

#127 Posted by SpaceBoat (171 posts) -

I guess Milkman is the first finalist.

My side of the bracket has to catch up.

#129 Posted by ThaMilkMan (343 posts) -

Without any walls a Gengar just runs unchecked (same thing happened in your battle with meet). And unfortuately Mega Gengar's speed stat boost doesn't happen until the turn AFTER the mega evolution has occured. But good game none the less

Battle vid here:FCFW-WWWW-WWW2-49QL

#130 Posted by perfectlizardwizard (112 posts) -

Gengars don't get walled... o_o

They get mold-broken. A gengar with Focus Blast (which it should always be carrying can 2HKO all Sp. Def walls aside from Tentacruel and Shuckle.

Anyway, gg on the gengar strat. I'm busting my ass right now getting my 5 IV timid one right now -- taking a bit of time! lol I would love to get in on season 2 and have some gengar wars ;)

#131 Edited by MasterWGS (42 posts) -

Doing this publicly so there's no questioning it.

My internet's been really spotty the last couple days. I'm not sure if my opponent (@soulcake) has been online/waiting for me to play, but regardless, I don't trust it to be reliable for the rest of the season. For the sake of not hindering progress, I forfeit my match.

Chalk me up as a loss in the first round, @goranp, and good luck & batman to everyone still in! Can't wait to watch these battles when my internet stops being a butt.

#132 Posted by SpaceBoat (171 posts) -

That's a real shame. Hopefully you'll be able to participate in the next season. :(

#133 Edited by GoranP (1115 posts) -

Aww man, that sucks. Hope you're back for the next season!

#134 Posted by DarkShaper (1320 posts) -

@soulcake beat me in our match but my connection cut out close to the end so I don't have a replay to share.

#135 Edited by Itwongo (1120 posts) -

In this replay, @SpaceBoat and I make a lot of mistakes

2B6W-WWWW-WWW2-7CS4

It was intense as fuuuuck

Also, he won. GG!

RIP Aerodactyl

#136 Edited by SpaceBoat (171 posts) -

I have to stop just getting my Ferrothorn killed. Poor guy tries his hardest.

My Absol made up for it with the luckiest crits in the world.

GG!

#137 Posted by aajf (223 posts) -

Loving watching these replays! Is there a reliable way to practice single battles with a full squad of 6? Single battles in the battle spot seem to limit you to a choice of three, and requesting battles from passers by can be a bit tedious.

#138 Edited by Itwongo (1120 posts) -

@aajf: load up a replay, and hit the button to the right of the play button

#139 Edited by aajf (223 posts) -

@itwongo: Thank you! The AI leaves a bit to be desired, but this gives me a little better idea of how my team might fare next time around.

#140 Posted by GoranP (1115 posts) -

Challonge is currently but I'll get around to updating the brackets if they aren't as soon as it's up. Will update the replays tomorrow as well.

#141 Edited by ThaMilkMan (343 posts) -

Still waiting on the semi finalist winner!

Can't wait to battle to the end!

#142 Edited by GoranP (1115 posts) -

Does anyone want to have a little contest for who can design the best worst (made in paint banner) for this league?

#143 Posted by SpaceBoat (171 posts) -

It looks like we're going to have our semi-finals battle on Sunday. So start holding your breath.

But don't pass out.

#144 Posted by GoranP (1115 posts) -

Oh the suspense!

Lucha Stantler or Lucha Sawsbuck?

I vote Stantler
