Only blockbuster releases by the mega corps can get away with $60.  Its dirty as hell but they knew that the games will sell regardless and consumers will just take it.  I think that's its just pure extra profit for them but not a lot of games can get away with a $60 price point.

This is my take on the second level of Scott Pilgrim Vs the World: The Game.  I did it much in the style of Jeff's old Skate 2 quicklook aka solo.  Its the second level in its entirety, from selection to Boss.  Watch me do horribly at the game and even worse at the commentary!  You can watch if you're on the fence and see some additional game play. (Youtube options are 240p or 720p, how odd)

As a side note, I saw slots for 6 characters in total and when you select someone in multiplayer the other controllers need to pick a different character.

Here are some captures of the game as well

I think the hard part is finding a game that's interesting, and also enjoyable to play for an hour a day.  Near the end of Deadly Premonition they were cutting episodes at 20-30 minutes until the end times where they marathon'd an hour plus to get the game over with.

If guessing was involved, I'd say eventually there will be another.

I don't think these are necessary, the in game guns do the job just fine.  I'm happy its out though since that means Shadow Broker is that much closer.

I thought the set phasers for fun videos were great, but it looked like every other kind of mmo.  I don't think it'd be worht it, but I'm disillusioned with any mmo.

@Shadow:
Jeff is too busy playing games to enjoying playing the same games.  He pretty much allots himself a certain amount of time for a game when it comes out and when that's up he has to move on to the next hot release.  That's just how it is covering games, he spends the rest of his time tubin on his birthday.

Gamestop has kind of a bad reputation because the quotas and things they push their employees to do.  I'm sure many people have anecdotal stories about how gstop has "offended" them but really it depends on store to store.

My local store is off and on.  I think on GTA San Andreas launch day, they told me they were only selling pre-orders for the next two days.  The part that got me was that guy at that time said "If you walk out without pre-ordering for the next shipment you're saying you don't want the game".  I went to blockbuster and they had a copy for me no problem, of course that was back when Blockbuster wasn't going bankrupt so quite a bit ago.

My friend on the other hand hates getting gutted copies sold as new such as when he purchased God of War 2.  I think we were looking for a copy of Army of Two at launch and gamestop didn't have it.  We were fine till he asked "Why didn't you pre-order it?"  We left right after that.

I'm not saying GAMESTOP IS TERRIBLE and all bad, they've made some good recommendations for me and I've pre-ordered from them since.  People have their own preferences and enough competition they can choose where they want to give their money.
