My introduction to Persona and JRPGs in general was the P4 Endurance Run. I watched that in its entirety and really enjoyed it. I bought Persona 3 FES on PSN in August of last year, and played a good portion of it and got burned out on it. I did not play it again until earlier this year and probably finished it in August. I really liked it, but it felt grindy in some parts. I also couldn't finish a lot of social links because I didn't have enough time. It seemed from the endurance run that's not a problem in P4.

Is The Answer for P3 worth playing for the story? I've read that there are no social links and it's just combat so I never bothered to play it. I also just started P4 Arena and am enjoying that as well. Are there any story bits from The Answer I should know for Arena?

I agree it may be assuming too much to say he's working on it, because he is definitely focusing on D4 right now. One can only hope that a next gen Deadly Premonition sequel will be his next project.

Haven't played The Last of Us, that's why I feel these polls are premature, but I love Skyrim so it has to win as of now.

I preordered a PS4 back in June because I was confident I would have a job in November. Now, I still don't have a job and sold my PS4 on ebay. I didn't mark up the price and set the starting price at $400. If people wanted to pay more than that they were free to, it was their choice.

By the way, I liked the original Mass Effect better than Mass Effect 2.

@hailinel: I've noticed that you love going against popular opinion, just an observation.

Hello all! I think I am almost finished with the main game of Dark Souls. I defeated Nito, Seath, The Four Kings, and Bed of Chaos. I think I have been everywhere in the game except the painting world, and The Great Hollow. I am currently level 78 and am wondering if I should play the DLC now before beating the game, or play it on another playthrough? I'm assuming I can't play it after I beat the game from what I have read, but I don't want to overlevel so much before the final boss and area. Any comments and suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

I think the Game of the Generation discussion is premature because there are still current gen games coming out through next year, and I (probably a lot of people also) still haven't played some of the big games (The Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, Dishonored, Fallout: NV, Valkyria Chronicles, etc.). I suck at making lists because I have a bad memory, and it is hard to compare games I played so long ago. Anyway here is my list:

  1. Mass Effect
  2. Skyrim
  3. Dark Souls
  4. Mass Effect 2
  5. Grand Theft Auto V
  6. Dragon Age: Origins
  7. The Witcher 2
  8. Dead Space
  9. Portal
  10. Red Dead Redemption

I feel really good about the first 4 on the list, the rest I had a hard time and are not concrete. Honorable mentions that could be on the list are Batman: Arkham City, GTA IV, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Uncharted 2, Gears of War 2 and 3, Mortal Kombat, Mark of the Ninja, Saints Row: The Third, Oblivion, and Fallout 3.

Edit: Forgot The Walking Dead and Journey, which should be on my list somewhere.
