Fellow bombadiers, I come to you with a request... Help me put a bunch of awesome stuff on my new tablet!

For Christmas I got the Google Nexus 7. It's one of the smaller (7") Android tablets and it's pretty rad. The only problem is, this is my first Android/iProduct anything so I'm extremely clueless. I'm still rocking a sweet flip phone (mainly so everyone thinks I'm a drug dealer) and have no idea where to even start in terms of what apps I should check out. I've downloaded a handful of stuff (Jetpack Joyride, Wargames: WOPR (which is awesome)), but not really sure where to go from there.

I'd love to hear suggestions of stuff to check out. Doesn't just have to be games either; just stuff you guys like/use regularly. Free is obviously preferred, but not opposed to spending a couple bucks for good apps.

Thanks in advance, duders!

1. Django Unchained was fucking amazing.

2. When did the GB community get so bad at sniffing out trolls?

3. In an interview, Tarantino stated that Broomhilda von Shaft is supposed to be the great-great grandmother of Shaft. Thought I'd share that in case you guys hadn't heard, because I thought it was fucking great.

4. He also stated that this film was targeted at people that will see it on cable tv 15-to-20 years from now since that's how he viewed all the classic spaghetti westerns. I also thought that was amazing and I feel like I can totally see it in the film.

5. I have a bit of bias toward Tarantino so maybe you guys didn't have the hard-on I did throughout the movie...

Edit:

Toss up between Ravaged and #teambrad for me. Ravaged legit made me laugh out loud, which is rare. Went with #teambrad though!

  1. Pull out crockpot or oven-safe pot (make sure you have a lid or cover with foil)
  2. Add pile of rough cut veggies (onions, celery, carrots, tomatoes, garlic, etc.)
  3. Add big, inexpensive piece of beef (roast, chuck, etc.)
  4. Add half a bottle of cheap red wine and a glug of olive oil
  5. Season with some random herbs and salt and pepper
  6. Cook on low (in crockpot) or ~350f (in the oven) for 2 to 3 hours

Super cheap/easy to make and it always tastes awesome. Only downside really is that it takes a while to cook.

Don't have a big pot or crockpot?

  1. Pull out casserole dish
  2. Add layer of rough cut veggies (onions, carrots, brussel sprouts, parsnips, etc.)
  3. Add a couple pieces of beef filets or chicken thighs (I like thighs because they're cheaper and a little fattier, which adds flavor)
  4. Add a drizzle of olive oil over all of it
  5. Season with some random herbs and salt and pepper
  6. Bake at 350f for 45 minutes and check if done. If not, check every 15 min til it is.

Man, I so wanted to jump in on this thread... But I haven't an effing clue. Who in the video is even supposed to even sort of look like Brad? Am I really blind as a bat because I'm totally not seeing it.

Inverted. Always inverted.

Not only did I grow up playing games like X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Wing Commander, etc, I spent my teenage years wanting to work in TV production. Being behind a camera means that pulling back = up. Have a camera in front of your face? Want to look up? You tilt your head back.

The only time non-inverted ever made sense to me was Freelancer, where the cursor moved on screen and the ship then followed the cursor. Otherwise, I don't understand non-inverted controls in games. You're not moving the cross hairs on the screen. You're moving a camera. The cross hairs merely tick off the center point of the screen.

But that's me. I use timers on my phones when I take self portraits instead of showing the world what my bathroom looks like. I remove the stock signatures from my devices, since I don't want people to know my emails came from my iPad or Galaxy phone or whatever. I'm an old man who shakes my fist at kids who are on my lawn.

Hear, hear! Well put, sir. I'm in the exact same boat.

I disagree. I think Carrie-Anne Moss as Aria is incredible. I haven't played Omega yet, but I liked what I heard in ME2 and ME3.

Omega only has one rule...

I thought she was pretty good too... until this DLC. There is what's supposed to be an epic and rousing speech from her and it just falls incredibly flat. It was a bummer.
