To play a role, to act as another is so much fun when you join a play.

I auditioned for the playDracula. I will be playing Abraham Van Helsing.

Someone has to teach those slobs how to kill Dracula.

There are no small roles, only small actors. Break a leg..

Hair is cut and then some tweaking, the beard is gone.

Now to learn baby learn.

I played my best role in Oblivion. I played as me. I was a vampire for thirty days. In the end, champion. Different play different results.

So funny, I've been playing Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines. So different a story.

What's your favorite role to play?

Really? You've got the look of a Gary Oldman-esque Dracula. Helsing seems like the wrong role based on appearance.

@MrKlorox: Aren't you amazing. This play will be dramatic with comic overtones of love and pleasure. I can feel it. My character does not portray those thoughts, so it's all mute at this point with pure reflection of emotion.

@Claude: Ah, so you're the juxtaposition. That's a heavy roll, especially for a play based on the 'ghost' of a tyrant notorious for consuming human flesh. I like irony.

As the play read, Dracula grows stronger has he feasts upon England. I (Abraham Van Helsing) grow older with the knowledge to make Dracula die a death upon the hands of god and the faith.

The words become me. The troop the cast are the reason to believe. It's great. Everyone should audition for a community show.

I noticed you playing that Vampire game on steam, and I knew you were auditioning for a part in Dracula, but for some reason I never made the connection between the two.

I was part of a Shakespearean acting troupe for about four and a half years, and alternated between a lot of serious and comedic roles. I think I enjoyed playing Don Pedro from Much Ado About Nothing the most, though Nick Bottom from Midsummer Night's Dream was also a kick.

Other than that, the Heavy, bitches!

The theatre group you linked to says that in their play, Van Helsing is female? This is going to be one nuanced as fuck performance. 
 
Seriously though, you've got a good look for Van Helsing, I think. Grizzled, and possibly weary. You look like you would have made a pretty fine Dracula, too. Good luck!

You've got the look.  I'm sure you can find the right "place" in your psych to pull out a great Van Hellsing.  I was once put in the role of Dracula for a high school play.  I would say that was my favorite role, but I might get staked for it.
