I'm home on Saturday night because it's still fairly early, not even 6 PM. Even if I were to stay home all night that'd be okay, I'm pretty comfortable being a loser.
@Mystyr_E: That does seem really stupid to do, I guess that's why they have the Echoes?
Honestly any game with character progression or unlock-able abilities or weapons would benefit from a NG+ mode, given that the game is good enough to warrant a replay.
The amount of effort put into this version of the game is fucking embarrassing. For a company that is part of the PC Gamers Alliance they didn't even bother to give us mouse support in the menus. Did they even look at it?
This is fucking ridiculous and I encourage anyone to post this on their forums or email them. Don't just gripe about it on the GB forums.
Saying piracy takes away from profits is one of the most propagated misconceptions about piracy. It's not profits lost if they never intended to buy it and they're not taking a unit from someone who would.
Strategy games. I played a ton of AoE and Warcraft II in my youth but somehow none of those skills carried over. Fucking unit management -- How does it work?
Dave, you're quite a wise man whose opinions I can appreciate. GSC Game World has even commented publicly on how they think that Western publishers and game developers are scared of making their games difficult and I think that's where the CRPG decline has come from, diluting the CRPG formula to make it accessible to people who otherwise might be intimidated by the genre's nuances.
I don't think that Mass Effect 2 was more of an RPG than GTA: San Andreas was.
I think if it's garnered enough attention to merit a wiki page and it does something fairly original than it belongs. Don't need every iteration of Tower Defense.
