I watched @hamst3r play Dead Space 2 because I had no interest in the game. Seemed to be full of action, devoid of atmosphere, so I'm glad I skipped it.
What I'm thinking is it is funny, but it is also fucking irritating me. Look, hammer a to proceed and then not managing to hammer a and being forced in a loop to do it over and over is fine once or twice. But then forcing me to do it in a limited time period is a fucking terrible mechanic and is honestly about to make me stop playing this game. Super fucking bummer.
I'm actually wishing this shitty dumb button mashing segment had been cutout on PC.
Which part are you even talking about? I've never had issues like that at all.
The first (are there more?) visit to the spaceship, when our young hero is getting probed. And must mash A to stop being probed by the white dick. Which is easy. And then must do it again to break off the black dick. Despite trying multiple times, with multiple techniques (seriously, between last night and this morning I must have wasted an hour in total) I could never get that bar past about 7/8th of the way full, and then it would stop and I'd have to start from scratch. And yes, I have been using a 360 controller. It was incredible. I even stuck it on Casual to see if it made any difference and it did not. It was seriously aggravating. I ended up just downloading Cheat Engine and slowing the game down to 50% for that segment.
I had no problem at all at that part on a keyboard. Just mashed the button and it went through first try.
I had no problems like this, either, and I was using a 360 controller. The only thing I can think is if @forkboy had a bad framerate and their inputs weren't being recognized by the game engine, although most developers would set the game up so that kind of thing couldn't happen.
- I didn't see the horrible demonicWoodland Critters
I think I saw someone mention that they actually are in there. Hidden somewhere in the lost woods.
Dang, I ran around in there a bunch after I beat the game. Ran into those wolves, having never seen 'em during my playthrough, but no Woodland Critters. I'll go looking again I guess.
I really don't think the strategy guide will be that comprehensive at all. Remember those Brady Games guides? They used to just be glorified instruction manuals.
Think about how long it's taken people to discover things about Dark Souls I, and think about how long ENB has had to help write the thing. Not long.
Imagine getting invaded by someone who has no idea what they're doing. When was the last time that happened in DS I? There are plenty of reasons to get in on Day 1.
- Clyde didn't transform into Giant Clyde like in the one e3 trailer
And in terms of nailing the look of the show, I really can't imagine what they could have done better. They nailed it all. Maybe if they make another one they'll have the confidence and support of the community to go into new territory rather than lean so much against past South Park episodes, although I do think they did it in a tasteful way the whole way through.
I'll go to post a comment, then it will fail. I'll reload the page and I'll notice I'm not logged in for whatever reason. Then I try to log back in: it takes me to the login page; I log in; then when it brings me back to GB it still says "log in" in the upper right. Prevented me from watching a bit of the most recent Breaking Brad.
This is not that surprising considering Nintendo still treats the online space like it's 1994.
I was blown away when someone told me the 3DS requires those ridiculous "friend codes." I was certain they'd have updated to sensible usernames by now.
(I have no idea what happened when I tried to quote MB)
Fuck the 60-character limit in thread titles. So stupid.
Seems pretty early. You don't necessarily come to Nintendo for Online play, but it's just another sign that Nintendo aren't doing so hot. You'd think games like Pokemon Black and Smash Bros. have a decent sized community still, but I really wouldn't know, I guess. I wonder how much it costs to keep these services afloat. Must be a lot. Or Nintendo's just trimming off all but the most important expenses.
