" Jessica Chobot actually knows her shit. Yeah, her career got started by a picture of her licking a PSP and she knows that, but she wouldn't have gotten so far if she didn't know her stuff. "
Or have writers. She's proven to be no better than these broads as far as "gamer cred" goes, she's just smarter about faking it. I have no issue with female game journalists, some have been around for a long time and know their stuff. While it may be a stereotype, I always find that if the girl is more than mildly attractive then it's clear she has little to no gaming heritage beyond maybe playing a game or two while she was younger or having a brother or dad that played games a lot. When you see people like Chobot, Olivia Munn, Amanda McKay or any of these other broads, they were hired based on their looks and ability to feign interest in games and "nerd" culture. As soon as Munn saw a chance to break free and go Hollywood, she couldn't run faster from G4, so fast that the producers are so desperate that they left the posters and promos of her on the set for fear of losing the few remaining viewers that don't know she isn't coming back. Even Morgan Web is suspect, but like I said she is mildly attractive so it's at least believable she played games growing up, especially since there is early footage of her looking far more dorky than after the producers cleaned her up.
What's worse is how easy dudes fall for it. It's like a carrot on a stick, and these losers can't fucking realize they're being fooled by a pair of tits and a smile. It's insulting to be thought of like some animal that can't pay attention to anything without some tits and ass to keep me docile for another 30 seconds. It's like Telemundo.
