So I watched all the Youtube videos, read all the various synopses that are out there.

I'm still in shock that, yes, that is basically the ending. Was going to buy the GOTY edition after enjoying the first two games, but now I don't think I care at all.

Wow. This came off as slightly defensive.

This is an interesting discussion, but I'm honestly surprised at the number of people who plan on buying ME3 for "closure." Is it really worth $60 when you could just read a plot summary online?

I got burned by DA2 and, while I enjoyed the first two Mass Effect games, I don't see myself buying ME3 anytime soon, if ever.

I find it adorable that so many people are believing Bioware. "After the game went gold." "Tacked on mission."

Guys, these things were probably all decided years ago. It's not like they magically came up with idea for this (or any) DLC AFTER they were done with the main game.

I'm super excited for this game, make no mistake, but this was my first reaction upon loading up the beta. Honestly, I think Torchlight looks better than D3 as far as graphical fidelity goes.

I had the exact same concerns that you did. Long story short: yes, it's WAY better.

I started participating in the beta this summer and found the game to be sluggish and borderline unplayable in spots due to the framerate. I have kind of an old midrange system (ATI 5850, E8400), and could barely play the beta on low. Now I'm running everything on high and getting a really solid framerate (at least 40 fps just about everywhere).

So yea, if you played the beta from earlier this year, in my experience it's definitely better. Now if you played some of the more recent beta weekends (a few weeks ago I believe), the performance is roughly equivalent to that.

Yea, that's gotta be a texture error/bug. I'm running on low everything (game is actually fairly demanding if you want to run High or Ultra or whatever it is), and overall things look pretty good for an MMO.
