I liked the game a lot innitially, but over time I grew tired of the same enviroments, and never finished it. Still I got almost till the end, to the part where you exit the office building.

@mike: I'm actually surprised there's only been one "this game isn't worth any price" post considering how games get turned on months after release these days haha. This one's easily worth $20.

Defend your position, sir. Explain to me how Inquisition is a worthwhile investment when there are other, superior games on the market. One of which at the very least is a landmark for the RPG genre.

No, seriously. If this were 2014 and there were no games out, I'd probably say Inquisition is worth a few dollars, but it's not, and RPG players at this point have their pick of half a dozen or so stellar releases this year alone. If money is a concern for the OP, he could pick up Shadowrun: Dragonfall and Hong Kong for that price, and still get 60 hours of marvelous RPG entertainment. There is just no good excuse for picking a shoddy game when there are much better investments of both time and money.

One of which would be buying a bucket of paint, spraying it all over a wall, and then watching it dry.

I'm being facetious on that last point, if you couldn't tell.

Yeah it depends of how you value your time, what you are looking for and how bored are you. There are better games on the market, arguably Witcher 3, Pillars of Eternity, and of course Witcher and Witcher 2, also Planescape Torment, if you handle going that retro.

As a measure to fight off growing a backlog, I now only buy games that apparently have something worthwhile to contribute to my enjoyment, and I really want to play. Repeats, with lesser quality, I give them a pass.

I thought it was too much for the console to handle.

That thought came from having experiencing the Spectrum where a game had a looooong load time.

I don't have a twitter account, nor pininterest, but I do value the idea of online communities. It can seem too invasive and meaningless, but it is a good way to maintain easy contact with distant friends and relatives, and know new people that can enrich one's life, plus it allows you share your ideas and moments with your connections. It's a easy and confortable way to stay in touch, although it doesn't replace real life interactions. I do have a Facebook account, and to me it is important, as an extension of my own identity and a platform to share my own ideas. It doesn't matter that few people bother to read. As I consider what I share important, it is something that can have and has an impact in other people's lives.

Yeah, frankly lots of NES-era 2D platformer games could probably have some kind of Mario Maker. Mega Man, Castlevania, even Sonic come to mind, but it's tricky because all of those games had more of a end-of-level boss thing going on. I guess Mario did as well and they just completely omitted it from Mario Maker aside from Bowser, but Mega Man without bosses would be a bummer.

Yeah this sums it up. It's a formula you could do with other games for sure I think. Not sure they work as well as Mario Maker, for the boss reasons you mention as well as others.

I was not aware of that Mega Man Universe game.

Capcom could add the bosses aswell, and maybe add a few more. It could even allow boss rush mode levels. The possibilities are infinite! Close to it... :p

Sounds like you just reached the end of the line emotionally. You had to break it off.

This is why I don't have friends, to much to deal with. All I need are my lovely lovely games...

I'm going to play The Evil Within, Demon's Souls and Alan Wake.

I recommend:

  • Soma;
  • The Evil Within;
  • Stasis;
  • Sanitarium;
  • Outlast;
  • Among Sleep;
  • State of Decay;
  • Left 4 Dead 2;
  • Resident Evil Remake.

At least one of those games will be delayed, if not some of them.

Street Fighter V in 2016? I think it is unlikely... As is Dark Souls III.
