I think that 90% of the complaining will go away if they don't split up the cast.  I think the idea of a 2nd cast that would be subscriber only makes much more sense.  I love what the guys do, but I don't wan to make this all over complicated, and maybe when I get a better job and have more money to spend on my ever so expensive video gaming habit (xbox live, gamefly, steam sales, etc.) I will be able to afford this, but uggh. 50 bucks is a lot of dough.

30 bucks seems like a sweet spot.
 
Ok, now they can come with a 40 dollar rebuttal, then we can settle on 35.
 
This is just like buying and haggling for arcade cabinets.

I would be completely good with 30 bucks a year (and no t-shirt)
 
They should think of pricing this like a magazine subscription.

I also find it funny that a site that has often joked about how "Our users supply the content" in the Wiki structure, is now going subscription for the bits that aren't user generated.
 
Uggh.  Find a different way, do NPR style live pledge drives, charge 30 bucks a year, that I could handle.  Uggh.

I would be 100% on board if not for the Bombcast thing.  
 
Don't cut it in half, do something like the Revision 3 stuff, make it available all at once like half a week later..   That is a good compromise.
