It's pretty simple, westerns just aren't popular with the current generation. The genre kind of tapered off in film a few decades ago, and the current market of gamers didn't grow up with them like the older generations did.
To whoever said the 'series' will probably cover the conclusion of Yukiko's dungeon that sounds about right. Now that I think about it if they stick anywhere near the original story they are set for material for a long while.
There's a lot of dialogue and other stuff in the story that's unnecessary and redundant. It wouldn't be hard to cut it down to a more manageable length.
I've got no money so I've bought from this year has been Tactics Ogre (excellent) and Radiant Historia (great). Probably won't be getting any 2011 games soon, older games are cheaper.
I really think they are planning 13 episodes ending with Yukiko's rescue. Keep in mind how long the beginning of the game is. 13 episodes in only about 4 hours, 20 minutes of animation. An entire episode will be just the first limo ride. "
There's a lot of stuff in P4's intro (and the game as a whole) that you could easily remove or shorten. I don't think it would be a big problem at all.
