It's been apparent for some period of time now that my (formerly) favourite game company has absolutely no clue what they are doing.

Well I don't think it is a game you should avoid. Jeff doesn't dig the game, and I get that. He proved that in the QL and review. Multiplayer is not as flawed as people make it out be in my opinion, its about as flawed as any other FPS. For example I found that some of spawning areas are garbage and the MP7 needs a reduction in accuracy, as it currently shoots as straight as an arrow.
 
Bitmob recently nailed what I think about this game with these two pieces.

Doesn't sound desperate at all to me. I like the mode they are offering, sounds like game play reminiscent of CounterStrike or Ravenshield.

And since I've heard precisely zero complaints about DX9 crashing until now, I suspect the problem is with your computer and not the game. Have you updated your drivers? Is DX installed correctly? Have you tried tracking down any potential software conflicts? In my mind, any bug that is not universal is pretty minor. Usually that means specific conflicts with a specific combination of hardware and software. A major bug would effect everyone, such as a specific feature failure. So, unless a lot of people are complaining about DX9 failures as well, then it's likely to be a problem with your specific setup. "

Does this mean Gearbox is actually making Halo 4??!?!?!

So... can you design her to like cheap things? It'll make it easier than buying a diamond.

No base building, no mention of squads, no mention of any sort of management game. I'm sorry but this is a reskinned bioshock game NOT xcom. Way to do what everyone else has with X-com games 2k... way to go. There's no reason to use the xcom name for this game at all!  
 
It was so great to see a talented studio pick up the Xcom license, i was really hoping to finally see a new entry in the series that was worthy of the original game.
