To further support my point, I think the diversity here and in Japan is proof right there that we can't keep using JRPG and WRPG as genre titles. There's so much variety everywhere in this day and age in gaming, that it's pointless to refer to it as a genre in my opinion. Some RPGS coming from Japan are similar to western rpgs, and some rpgs in america are similar to rpgs from japan. Things are all over the place. Why keep using these terms as genre labels if this is how things are now?
If it helps you come to terms with the reality of these definitions, think of JRPG as meaning "Japanese (style) Role Playing Game" and WRPG as "Western (style) Role Playing Game."
