You are not insane for considering buying an expensive electronic device.

You are insane for asking strangers on purchasing advice on an expensive electronic device.

Best comment ever.

The main think it is missing is porn. More people would buy it if it came with porn.

Xbox One controller has better analog sticks, stick resistance, trigger and bumper design, d-pad and positioning of the battery pack as well as the back/start buttons. The controller seems to be made of better materials as well. I would give a negative to the proprietary mic jack. I also have two controller and they have a small amount of flex in the hand rests. I don't think it is a problem with the materials or build quality as much as it is the shape. The hand pieces on the 360 controller come to a more rounded end, where on the One they are slightly more pointed. I think this design doesn't allow the front and back of the controller to lock together as tightly as the 360s so you can feel a tiny bit of flex.

Yep, it is too bad the hive mind fueled by a minority of fear mongerers drove Microsoft's decision to forgo plans which would have allowed retail discs to be loaded and treated as digital. I guess the price of a 60 second daily check-in and giving up our .0133% exchange rate at Gamestop was too much of a sacrifice to join the modern era. I hope the idea returns in some form or another in the near future because I will be happy to forgo ever having to deal with a disc beyond loading a game for the first time. Anyone that wanted to strap this generation of consoles to a dead media was the one who got it wrong, if you ask me. PCs have long abandoned physical discs just as every other entertainment on the planet has.

Looks like you tossed a couple titles in there to make it look like it was a well rounded list, but it reads more like a "my favorite franchises" than "best of a generation".

Sunset Overdrive's latest developer video is a not to subtle jab at UbiSoft and the e3 news that Assassins Creed Unity would not include playable female characters, because the teams simply lacked resources to create such assets. Good one, Insomniac, good one.

Game is shaping up nicely.

Balance is an even bigger key to an MMORPG and an even finer line to walk than in an FPS, where as the op point out, is much more consistent. People of varying levels and skill sets will be grouping together so an RPG needs to have zones and content that can cater to these variables.

That said, a lot if the adaptability is left to the players judgment. Providing the game does not restrict zones/quest to tightly (see WoW) the player should have the ability to choose their own difficulty.

I can imagine that new player groups in an alpha build will not always know where these difficulty lines are and how to best zone/quest to match the difficulty they desire. That will come with experience as will rebalancing from Bungie.

When it comes to reviewing player trends and rebalancing, there are few developers that can match Bungie. Knowing this is a decade long deal with Activision, you can expect Bungie will be deeply involved in the game post release.

Fair Use law is a massive rabbit hole with no cut-and-dry test, often only decided on a case by case basis in court.

Using copyrighted material for profit is not illegal, in fact, that is what fair use is all about. They rest, however, is a grey area from there.

Courts have established some precedent when it comes to a lit of copyrighted material but video game streaming is in its infancy as far as the law has been reviewed.

Nintendo is pushing back against Twitch so these stories are only going to get bigger until we have some court opinions wrapped around them.

I think too many people look at the internet as this neutral zine void of real world restrictions. While I fully support net neutrality the internet itself should be viewed like any other media. Just like any other media, content creators are governed by a wide array of existing laws. I think the barrier to entry as a content creator is just so much lower online than anywhere else that people often overlook the laws and consequences. If you were starting up your oen television network you would not think twice about researching laws and regulations, but because any Joe with a PC and MIC can broadcast online we don't always equate to the two being similar.

There is no room in my life for these mindless, poorly acted, pencil thin dialog, wall to wall action blockbusters. One big CGI action sequence followed by another. I'd rather play a game about it if that's all it is. Doesn't matter the director. If Disney wants to drive Star Wars further down this rat hole they will, and whoever they put at the helm will just guide the boat were they say.

South America is cleaning up in this WC. I hope Columbia goes far but what a bummer that Falcao is sidelined.

A few Euro teams still look beastly but I don't get what's wrong with the rest. Could it be the time zone and heat.

Hopefully USA can come out of the groups. Should be sone good games this weekend. USA looked like they struggled with the heat during their first match too. Maybe with a week to acclimate we will see less injuries from them. Then again, maybe the US is just not in good form.
