@walreese55: The game may be compressed for the download, and will probably unpack on release day. For reference Pillars of Eternity's download was about 6-7 Gb, but unpacks to about 27 Gb.

I'd say all my military service more than makes up for all the time I spent indoors for the past few years. I still go hunting, hiking, and workout in my backyard, so I say 50% of my life was spent outside.

The battle theme is too Capcom vs SNK for its own good, aside from that the music seems pretty decent. The lack of Yasunori Mitsuda compositions makes me a bit sad, that guy is as much a staple for the Xeno games (to me anyways) as much as Tetsuya Takahashi is. I think this might be the game that'll make me pull the trigger on getting a Wii U either way.

In almost all cases I agree preorders are kind of dumb, but there have been times I've been burned by not doing it. For me personally, there are just some games you kind of have to preorder to get at them without waiting 6 months to a year for another run to be made. Something like Persona 5 is worth preordering over Call of Duty, just for the fact that Atlus uses those preorder numbers to inform their disc manufacturers the quantity they're going to have to produce and where to send them to meet demand. In most cases for they only send 1.5 of the quantities preordered to the store. So, let's say a GameStop in Villa Rica, Ga gets 10 preorders of P5, most likely they're only going get 15 copies of that game. That's only 5 available copies for walk ins to purchase.

Preorders are weird, because yeah you should wait and see how things go before buying anything. The other side to it is that preorders can possibly affect the products supply at launch.

Dang it seems like Jeff was right, and it looks like Konami might be doing the slow bow out of the games industry. I wonder if the Konami code works on their spas, pachinko, and slot machines?

I'm in the same boat situation wise, although I fully intend to keep my PS4. Even though still primarily game on PC, I still have reasons to keep ye ol' Playstation. With Bloodborne I know it'll tide me over until Arkham Knight (I've been burned way too many times by the crappy launches of the Batman PC ports.) Then there's stuff like Deep Down and Persona 5 looming around the corner.

Yeah I agree with what Jeff said on the bombcast, I think the games are challenging but not difficult. I find that the Souls games and Bloodborne are more about exploring the crazy environments and dealing with obtuse situations. Yeah there are some tough boss fights, but they're not as tough as some NES era bosses.

That being said, I've come to the realization long ago that Souls/Bloodborne are the best 3d Castlevania games ever. Yep I just said that.

Summoning is part of the game. If you summon, the bosses have more HP than they usually would if you went at it solo. There's no shame in it. I think surrendering in these kind of games is just either straight up giving up, or cheating. Simple as that.

The thing that makes me sad/angry is that GTAV killed a 1/6 of my data cap. US ISPs need to get better.
