Pokemon Red and Blue: I was outside my house on going up and down the driveway on roller blades trying to beat the Elite Four, failing a few times, only to finally beat Lance and noticed my battery on my yellow Game Boy Pocket was low. Nervously fought Blue while I prayed I'd have enough battery to last through the fight and subsequent Hall of Fame scene with Professor Oak.
I would spent hours calling around to the local game stores and other department stores making sure they had some booster packs of Pokemon cards so I could convince my parent's to take me there. Bought a Beckett-like Pokemon card market almanac and ordered my cards in a binder based on their sell value. Went 5-1 in the first regional Pokemon card tournament.
Played Pokemon Snap religiously after school, hoping to get a photograph of Mew so I could go to the local Blockbuster and print out stickers of the event.
Created a simple coin toss based Pokemon card game with a friend of mine using the cutouts from the back of my Lunchables.
Set up the VCR scheduler to record the Pokemon cartoon, since it was syndicated while I was still at school.
Learned HTML so I could build a Pokemon fan site; full of the requisite animated .gifs and a "cheat" section where I explained how to clone items via Missingno, and a music section where I listed the lyrics to the cartoon's intro music and a few of the PokeRaps.
Still have in the trunk of my car Ash's cap that my brother bought me for Christmas around that time.
