Throw up dem Xs!

I don't know that he's the best thing to happen to this site, but I'm super pleased that they brought him on board and that he has fit in so well. Both he and Alex have done a fine job of turning Giant Bomb's news section into an extremely strong facet of the site, I almost feel like I don't need to visit anywhere else.

I bought the Enslaved's DLC based on the strength of Vinny & Brad's quick look, along with a desire to throw some extra support behind Enslaved (it's a bit overrated, to be sure, but I really enjoyed it for what it was). Giant Bomb's Quick Looks definitely factor into some of my purchases.

I wind up buying most multi-format games on the 360 because usually a mixture of performance/achievements/controller wins out over the PS3 version, so between that, exclusives and downloadable titles most of my gaming time is spent with the 360. The PS3 and Wii get used whenever I've got something new for them. If I don't have have anything new to play it really just depends on what mood strikes me and what kind of game I want to play. PC gaming gets a slight look in on the odd occasion that something will run on it without my computer locking up, but even then I'm not as likely to spend as much time with it because I don't enjoy gaming on my PC with the set-up I have (or with a mouse and keyboard, for the most part).

Really want some kind of Half Life (ep) 3 reveal, but they just released one of the finest games I've ever played so I don't mind so much if they rest on their laurels at E3 this year.

Absolutely. You could at least get away with the PS3 header but the row of different logos at the bottom really kills it. It'd be nice if all of the branding was put on a transparent slip-cover with the completely clean art behind it.

Thanks for the heads up, I might consider creating a new e-mail addy and swapping it over just in case.

Before MGS2 I always pronounced MK's Raiden's name properly ("Ray-den") but ever since my first instinct has been to pronounce it "Rye-den"

Odds on PS3 Mortal Kombat being broken out for this? Not as good as they would be if Jeff were in town this week.
It also might not be a wise choice considering that there could be people who haven't been able to redeem their online pass yet.

Well, it feels like there's less of the sort of bullshit that annoys me about reading gaming discussion on the internet, but I don't know if I'm willing to make a claim like that - we can be pretty immature. I will say, though, usually I find it really hard to get into forums of this kind of size unless I've been there from early on, but the community here is pretty damn welcoming and it's generally full of good vibes.
