@djotaku: This gives me hope for Final Fantasy X-2 which, thus far, appears to be more of a “let’s see what happened with all our old friends” than a proper plot. But Final Fantasy games usually take until near the halfway point to reveal the true story.
The game while having a great and fast battle mechanic was a big disappointment when it came to story. The story of the game is told to you right at the start and doesn't really start fleshing out until near the middle and end. Otherwise you have to just do a bunch of meaningless crap in order to advance the story.
1. The game has been out for a month so people will be posting stuff on the story by now
2. Why the hell did you click on a story having to do with the game you are currently playing? 9/10 The post or the comments are going to have spoilers in them.
I certainly don't oppose games haveing split screen multiplayer but it's not as important to me now as it used to be when i was 15-16. Espeically now that i've moved out of my home state I have no use for SS gaming.
I just told my friend to do this with his girlfriend (which is even better that he's doing it because his last name is Dew) I shall post results when i get them.
Also no. That line would totally backfire on me and I'd probably get nothing for weeks because of it.
@Ezekeilpurger: Yeah bring back the damn job system. That was my favorite part of any final fantasy! What was the last Final Fantasy game to feature the job system?
I used to really care about playing an entire series of games before the newest one came out, but then came a time where I either A) didn't care enough about the rest of the series to want to play them all before the newest one and B) saw that if it were necessary to play an entire series to be able to get into one game then I just skipped it entirely.
Length definatly does not make a game better. With all games, even the ones that I really like, if it doesn't start to wrap up after 30 or so hours then I start to get really bored and sometimes even just stop playing the game entirely.
And no games are way better now then when they used to be. Even when I had all the time in the world and was able to play 100+ epics I still would rather have a nice 20-30 hour storyline focused game.
