Mass Effect 2, not because it's overly hard it took more time than anything else and for me that a game could be so good for me to put the amount of hours in necessary to S-rank it is something.

No, if you make it realistic it aint Duke Nukem just another generic shooter. I think a modern Duke Nukem game can be good and funny especially with gearbox at the helm. I think DNF failed even with gearbox because of leftovers from the old version of the game. I am fairly confident a fully gearbox made Duke Nukem can be great and funny, Borderlands 1 and 2 was funny and a good game why not Duke, but no serious Duke.

I rented 2 and 3 and played most of 4. I've never been a huge fan but this looks like an interesting take on the games and a good jumping on point for newer players.

I liked Bioshock 2 (including the ending sequence and ending) and thought he multiplayer was really fun.

I think Reach is the Best Halo and 3 was kind of boring for the first half.

I'm playing it right now and as a result not reading other posts here for fear of spoilers (I'm playing through episode 4). I'm really loving don't feel it'd over-hyped at all but the hype I think comes from the media playing up the amazingness of the game as a story but not mentioning the clunky-ish way it plays or the for the most part fairly easy puzzles. It is an interactive story which you get really deeply involved in with the story and characters.

My dog knocking over the xbox and destroying my ME1 disc as I neared the end.

My brother accidentally deleting my mid game KH2 save and then later my end game TWEWY save.

Losing my Pokemon diamond where I had like every freaking legendary.

Giving my cousin my old PS1 and all my games which is what got me into video games in the first place. Now I want to go buy a new one.

Affleck may not have deserved an acting nomination given who he was up against but he was still awesome and certainly deserved a directing nomination. Argo was great and deserved more than the technical nomination it got.

There is no other real surprises at least from what I've seen so far as here in the UK several films including Lincoln, Django and Zero Dark thirty aren't out until mid to late January. My question is from any of you guys who have seen Django is Dicaprio's snub as big a deal as people make it out to be, did he deserve a nomination? In my opinion Affleck (as i said above) deserved an acting or directing nomination for Argo.

I'm pretty sure it was the Tarzan game for the PS1. I can't remember if it was a Christmas or birthday present but I remember me and my brother and dad would try and get ahead and beat the game before my cousin and his dad who had also got it and we'd ring them and see where they were in the game or how they got past a part and then we beat it like a day before them after being stuck for ages, it was great. That was all so much fun I really loved that game and I played that game again fairly recently and I still enjoy it today. That's the first game I really remember anyway but i feel like I had the PS1 before that.

Ok lets give this a try.

  • Bioshock
  • Bioshock 2
  • Max Payne 3
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Batman Arkham City
  • Fallout 3
  • Fallout NV
  • Gears of War Series
  • The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
  • The Legend of Zelda: Phantom hourglass
  • Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2
  • Mass Effect Series (especially 2)
  • Saints row the third
  • Deus Ex: HR
  • Assassins creed 1,2, Brohood, rev and 3
  • Skyrim
  • The Walking Dead
  • Halo Reach
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction
  • Borderlands 2

If we're doinG handheld and downloadable games as well then:

  • The World Ends With You
  • Super Meat Boy
  • Trials Evolution
  • The Binding of Isaac
  • Crisis Core
  • Ben there, Dan that (If that counts)
  • I'm also going to say Kingdom Hearts: Birth by sleep (because it's the best KH has been in a while.)

Wow that's a surprisingly large amount of games. I'm sure there is more that I'm forgetting, this has been a pretty fantastic generation despite the domination of COD and shooters and while I acknowledge a significant portion of these are shooters I still like them.

If I had to narrow it down I'd say TWEWY, red dead, Bioshock 1, walking dead, saints row, Max Payne 3, Mario galaxy 1, and Batman AC, ME series, AC series were my favorite games of this generation and some of my favorite ever Mario Galaxy, red dead and TWEWY especially. Sorry for the huge post.

As many others have said I strongly disagree with Jeff's opinion of Red dead. I adored that game and GTA 4 albeit not as much and that makes it hard to understand how Jeff can love GTA 4 so much yet hate red dead as much as he does. I get its his opinion as some people and games just don't click like me and Darksiders. I also disagree with I think the whole squad's complete disregard for any pokemon beyond 151 and while this is a popular opinion on the internet and I'm not a pokemon super fan i thought Gen 2-4 were genuinely good games, haven't played gen 6 yet.

Those are the only notable opinions i can think i disagree with right now.
