It looks interesting, but honestly I'm only interested in this game because Sir Patrick (mothereffing) Stewart is doing voice over. I could listen to that man talk about anything.
Great article, Patrick, but I don't understand this section:
The reason Achron took so long is also responsible for Achron taking a hit in some of its initial reviews. So much of the CPU and RAM have to be dedicated to making the time travel mechanic work as designed.
Take pathfinding, for example. Hazard figures Achron's dedicating 1/20th of the CPU and 1/1,000,000th of the RAM towards pathfinding than any modern RTS on the market.
Does this mean that Achron is a lot of CPU resources and RAM? It sounds like it's not using much compared to other RTS's.
I think the implication is that it's using up so much CPU and RAM that that's all it can afford to devote to pathfinding.
Awesome work, Patrick! Keep dodging the time police!
Game is sounding pretty good, I had a looooot of fun with Arkham Asylum. Hopefully the open world is as fun as the slice Brad played.
Also, spoilers are spoilers. It would have been nice to have a SPOILER warning (not necessarily in the article title, but perhaps before you reveal it in the article), but hey, the Joker may have died. Oh my god everything ever is ruined.
Cuz I'm a stupid hardcore 40k fan, not terribly pleased with the name Exterminatus. Now, if this was a co-op mode where you just nuked everything from orbit, that would be appropriate. o.o
But again, I'm just a stupid hardcore 40k fan. Still really looking forward to Space Marine. =D
Gotta feel sorry for those folks at Sony. Getting your shit hacked ain't fun.
Hopefully they'll be able to patch the exploit and release some happy news though.
And I doubt anonymous did this. They're dicks, but they wouldn't target the credit card info stuff. More like hack into the advertisement server/software and post pictures of dicks/trolls everywhere.
