Just curious, did you purposefully exclude games from this gen, or has nothing but Brawl impressed you since 2K5?

@Little_Socrates: Ha ha, kind of both. I'm not really into modern video games, I think they're too easy. Also the only current console I own is a Wii, so most of the new games that are supposed to be good I haven't had a chance to play. Really would like to try Alan Wake and a few others though.

@Super__Sam: Gotcha. I sensed it might be the Wii thing, but I didn't want to presume. Moreso than Alan Wake and the other major releases, downloadables on the other platforms fit in a lot closer to your previous tastes. Games like Super Meat Boy, Fez, and Cave Story are throwbacks to the kind of games you seem to dig. There's obviously been some great stuff on disc, but I'd definitely recommend a console or PC with access to Steam or Xbox Live Arcade, where there are tons of great games like the ones you used to dig for pretty reasonable $10-15 price tags.

Yeah a friend of mine just told me about Cave Story. That game looks really good! I have Steam but I'm not much of a PC gamer but I was considering getting that one. Thanks for the input, I appreciate it!
