2 more days and Smackdown vs. Raw 2009

Two more days until my B-Day! So 2 more days 'till I can kill me some horde! Well, I want to tell you some Smackdown vs. Raw '09 impressions. I know I probably have about 0 friends that are interested in sweaty men fake punching each other but still here it goes!

Right when I popped it in I realized something, they took away GM mode! That was by far my favorite feature in any one of the previous games. It added incredible depth and I loved making feuds and building up hype to a PPV then finally delivering with a 4 star PPV event...but no, it's gone.  Also, the previous way that career mode went was you went into a feud and after that you went into another feud...that's how it goes in real life. But in this one, you pick a championship and go after it...no story...no diolouge...no fun. One feauture that they was hyping was the "inferno match". It's nothing funner than a normal match. You hit the guy, do a couple of finishers and grapple him and move him into the fire, again, not fun.

Now for some things that are actually kinda fun. The Road to Wrestlemania mode. It's very well put together but I still got some complaints. My main complaint is whoever works on these storylines should be putting them on Live TV. They're pretty interesting. I've only completed one so I'll give you that example, your Y2J and you finally get a title shot, then you get attacked by a "Masked Man". I won't go to farther 'cause it's actually kinda interesting. But seriously, my main complaints is the choice of wrestlers and the lack of. First, there should be more, and second, they should not have a tag team and they should not have CM Punk. I mean, he's not that great. Luckilly they've got Y2J and Undertaker to make you feel special.

So far, from what I've saw from this year and last year, this game will never be as amazing as it used to be. But hey, it's wrestling game, so, I like it.I do still say this is better than TNA iMPACT!'s game...looking back on that game, I hate it even more than I originally did. Well, I got Quantum of Solace today, haven't tried it out yet and I've got no school tomorrow so I'll probably end up staying up real late playing it or SvR. Well, I FINALLY got my Far Cry 2 review up so you should all go and check that out. If anybodys wanting to know, I just got into another argument with my girl and I like her a lot and everything but I'm considering just breaking it off. I mean, she's pissed off at me 24/7. Well, at school we're just a normal couple hugging, kissing, etc. Then we we get home I'll text her or talk to her on the phone and she becomes extremely pissed off. Ah, I know most people don't want to hear that some I'm gonna go ahead and wrap this blog up. See you guys in 2 days!...wait, before I go I want to give you my top 5 games I've bought this gaming season (Oct. 1- now)
5. Fallout 3
4. Smackdown vs. Raw 2009
3. Far Cry 2
2. Saints Row 2
1. LittleBigPlanet.

'Stance 2, Fifa, 007, Mirrors Edge, Gears, and my B-Day countdown

Well, I will start off by saying, I got Resistance 2 yesterday. I bought Resistance 1 last year and I was very disappointed, I wasn't the biggest fan of the graphics, I hated the story, and the MP blowed (That's my opinion, I know loads of people disagree). Now, to be honest, I really don't know why I rented this, I hated Resistance: Fall of Man but I still wanted to play this one, GS liked it, 1up liked, IGN liked it, and many others did so I was hoping I would--I don't. I still think the graphics are under-powered, I still don't like the story, and the MP gets boring after a while. I hope nobody hates me after those comments.

I completely forgot to mention this in my last blog (As well as I forgot to note my Mirrors Edge impressions) but I got Fifa '09 about a week ago. I've been playing it and I really love it, it's UEFA Euro 2008 but better. It's faster and I like how they don't call penalties on you after every sliding tackle you do. Speaking of my Gamerang list, I should be getting 007 Quantam of Solace Monday, Tuesay or maybe Wedensday. The other Gamergeek already has it and he likes it. I'm also in the middle of reading Jeff Gerstmann's review.

So, I forgot some Mirrors Edge impressions on the last blog so I figured better late than never right? Well to make it simple, it's good. The controls are simple and really easy to master. The beautiful art style is great. Some things I worry about is if the story will be good and if Time Trials will hopefully add enough depth to the game for it to hopefully be a buy. All I know is, I'm not gonna buy it. Mainly because I'm already getting two games this upcoming week, Gears 2 and WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw 2009.

Well, I'm not buying Gears, my parents are getting me it for my B-Day. Which means, I'm gonna start my Birthday countdown! 4 days till my Gears experience starts! 4 more long days till my B-Day is here! Well before I wrap up this rare, Saturday blog, I want to say, since I'm not writing reviews as much as I used to, if you want to know my opinions of games, PM me. I was gonna post my review for Far Cry 2 yesterday but me and my girlfriend got into a fight and I was really pissed off for most of the night. Well until next time, see you guys! I'm gonna get back to watching Clerks 2 which I still think is one of the greatest comedys of all time.

Updated impressions and my Far Cry 2 review.

Well if you read my last blog then you knew I was loving Fallout 3, Blitz The League 2, and LittleBigPlanet and close to posting my Far Cry 2 review. Here's the updates!

Fallout 3 is now a huge disappointment. I've really loved that game at first but now, it's just annoying and worse than mediocre (AKA Bad). The VATS is still great but I freaking hate the huge limit of ammo, and frequent points where you'll die and have to load the last game and only to find out that it autosaved before you went into that room and that their is people on the outside and inside waiting to kill you. Yea, I know, I basically just described one of Jeff's big complaint of the game. Since this has started to happen repeatedly, I've gave it back to my friend and gave up on it, I won't be doing a review because I just don't know the game very well and there is other games that deserve some time.

Ah, Blitz: The Leauge 2, how you surprised me. At first I thought you was amazing, fast and frantic gameplay, nice graphics, brutal injuries, and many more. But then came the story, it made it better -- up until about the third game and then it became annoying. The injuries then got redundant, the frequent button pressing is tedious as hell and losing at the end then restarting from the beginning is so annoying, you want to break a cats neck. Oh, but then there is the jail game. And oh my jebus does it suck. It's like 50 yard so the other team is constantly scoring, and your team is horrible so expect to fumble around 5 times in one game. And here is the stupidest part of the game. When you get injured during the jail game it just says "You are injured, your career is over"...wtf?

LittleBigPlanet  time! -- and yea, I still love that game very much. The levels are getting better and I finally made me a level!...yea, it sucks but still, I made it! I'm thinking about starting up a new level and hoping it turns out good.

Well, I've had my Far Cry 2 review done for about a week now and I've yet to post it. I think it's because of my sheer laziness. If you want to know a short summarized version of my review just PM me. In other news my sexi Titans are now 8-0, gooooooo Titans! Just got back from the dentist and if your wondering why I've been going to the dentist so much, the reason is because I've got some pretty bad teeth. I've already had a Route Canal, and I had three teeth drilled and filled today. I've probably got around two more appointments until I'm done. Well I've really got nothing else to talk about so I'm gonna go, but before I do, I want to say the top 5 most important things that are one my desk.  Yea random but here they are:
1. My Palm Trio
2. Computer
3. My PS3 controller
4. Some Ho-Ho's
5. An I am Legend DVD.

Lost my games?!?!

Impressions: LBP, Fallout 3, Blitz The Leauge 2, and more!

Well time for some impressions, I'll start with the most anticipated of the 3, Fallout 3.

This game kicks ass! It might not be as good as everybody thought  it'd be but still it's great. Jeff wasn't really a big fan of the VAT's system, but oh, I love it. Getting into the dude's face, entering VAT's and blowing away their head is so pleasing. I knwo you've probably heard this once, but I'm gonna say it again, this is Oblivion with guns. I mean exactly the same almost, the talking system is the exact same thing, the third person is the same, the graphics are the same and the opening sequence is kinda the same. I mean think about, in Oblvion you battled your way through some animals and then finally got out into the sunlight for the first time in who knows how long and in Fallout the exact same thing happens except your character has never saw the outside. I really won't get too much more into it, I mean I need to save some for the review right?

Well, I'd like to write a nice detailed paragraph about LBP but I just can't. The servers are frequently going online-then offline then repeat. From some of the new levels that wasn't in the beta that I could actually play, I got some very good impressions. I definitely had my moment where I said oh my god, this is great and so relaxing! The level designer is great ( So much better than Far Cry's). And I let my brother play it and he made the oddest thing. Now, he's 21 and playing the game and having one hell of a time doing it. This game is for all ages. But I want to mention one of the levels my brother made. We won't publish it because it'll be reported probably but it's one big (BIG) man we made, and his...well his...his wang is kinda hanging out. And in edit mode he'll go around with his wang man and destroy huge walls and put it in poisonous gas, I'm sorry I just wanted to mention that for my brothers sake.

Ah, Blitz The Leauge 2, Vinchenzo, you might just want to skip over this part of the blog :P. I just want to say, Blitz The Leauge 2 is not a 5.5. More like a 7.8 or something in that area. The gameplay elements are interesting, when I say the gameplay elements, I mean stuff like zooming on on one part of the body to attack and then brutally injure. The story is still kinda interesting, I don't like that you don't get to create your own character but other than that, this game is pretty good.

I have finished my Far Cry 2 review and have it on paper but I've got some homework too do and some Fallout and LBP to play. Well, I'm gonna start my long playthrough of LBP, until next time, I found them games!

More Far Cry 2, my sexy Titans, and my political standings.

Yea, I know, I'm 14, I can't vote but guess what? That doesn't mean I can't be involved in politics! (I apologize before-hand to some of the people that read my blogs that aren't in America, insanegamer, Bennyishere, etc.) If I could vote, I'd definitely vote for Obama.I have some main reasons for this, one is because our last president was a Republican and look at his 'prosorous' 8 years (/end sarcasm). I also think Democrats agree with many of my political thoughts, I agree abortion is tollerable because it's 'their' baby, not yours. So, in turn, it's 'their' decision and gay marrage is OK. You CAN NOT control who you fall in love with and marrage is something that shows your love for another person, it doesn't have to be love for a person of the oppisite sex. So yea, Obama for pres.

Now I want to discuss my sexi Titans. They're currently 6-0 and off to their best start of their team's history. They've, honestly, had a pretty easy schedule so far but still they've beaten the Jag's (Who were sometimes picked to win teh AFC South) and the Baltimore Ravens, who had the best D in the leauge at the time. Tonight the Titans are taking on the Colts on Monday Night Football. For all you Europeans that don't really know too much about American football, the MNF game is usally, the most watched Football game of the week. I don't really know about this week because it's going against the World Series.

This has seemed like an all American blog with American politics, and American Football so let's talk about the great Far Cry 2! Well I've been playing A LOT of it lately and enjoying near every single minute of it. This game is so great, after you get past the begining. I've also started to enjoy the online a lot more. I'm still disappointed by the Ranked matches. I'm always lagging out of the matches but when I play regular unranked matches, it goes extremely smooth. I also need to update it with some map editor impressions. I've heard a lot of people saying, "This is the best map editor in a game ever"...no, well not in my opinon. I have so much trouble just trying to put a slight hill down and when I try and put a bridge, it get's incredibly frustrating. Honestly, I think I don't like it because I suck with it. I'm currently about 48% through ( I think) and started a review but only wrote about a paragraph and quit because I don't think I've played enough MP yet.

Well, before I sign off I'd just like to say, this weekend, my computer and my TV screwed up. Both became very dark and just completely screwed up after a while. So I borrowed my mothers monitor until Christmas where I wil get me a new computer. I picked up a new TV yesterday, and it, simply put, blows balls. The color is continuously screwing up, it keeps turning black and white so probably in a couple days we'll take it back and get me a nice flat-screen one. Tomorrow me and my friend are going to Gamestop directly after school to pick up LittleBigPlanet and Fallout 3. I will give you all some impressions after a while. Before I go, I would like to say, you should all listen to TheGamerFix podcast! It's very entertaining. So if you don't, then do! And also, big props to Gorillawhat for giving me a CoD: World at War Beta key thanks. Well until next time, this has been Jay Malone asking, where's my games!?!?

When your dead, no one can hear you scream

Yes that was the best title I could think of, here's the review:
Dead Space starts out with you and 3 other people, and your ship crashes. You soon find out that the place you landed on is infested with a crazy zombie beast and you have to kill them and get out of that place! This leads to one of the weaker points of Dead Space, the story.

The story is OK but we've all seen this before. I would love to see a horror game that doesn't involve zombies. Sure, this game is one of the best horror games I've ever layed eyes on, but still, I want a new horror storyline! Kinda like Condemned. That game was just some bums beating the hell out of you and other bums -- it was just plain fun. :) Although the story isn't very original, the weapons sure as heck are.

I'm gonna start off with the "Plasma Cutter". It's the main weapon of the game and one of the funnest. There's three laser beams coming out the end of the gun. You can use them to shoot off the limbs of the enemies which is the main way to kill them. You don't just shoot it in the body, arms, and legs just to kill that crazy thing. Well just shooting the arms and head off will do the job. You'll still probably find yourself wanting to shoot off all the limbs just to see the bloody gory-ness of this great game.

The graphics and gameplay are stunning. You really have no HUD. Your health bar is on your back and your map can be accessed by pressing the select button. I've really never ran into any frame-rate drops. I was surprised by that because of the many enemies that would be on the screen at one time.

The lighting is so great, I've pretty much got to give it a paragraph of it's own. The lighting was very well done and added more horror to this already horrific (Like scary horrific, not Fable II Pub Games horrific) game. Flashing white lights that go on and off, are just incredibly terrifying. Also, you'll run into times where you'll not see an enemy then suddenly, the lights go off, a crazy sound starts playing, and there is a beast right in front of you and ready to kill you.
Singleplayer: 5 stars

Multiplayer: ~NONE~

Re-play value: Dead Space has no online and I don't really see how they could've fit co-op in it. But this game will probably still be a game that should have multiple play-throughs. It has trophy support so all you PS3 people (me) can still have a blast earning all the trophies.
Re-play value: 4 stars

End It! All-in-all Dead Space is one of the greatest horror games of all time and is easily worth a buy from near anybody.

I was going to add images but for some odd reason my stupid computer wouldn't let me, I'll try later on.

The current status of me reviewing games and Far Cry 2

You guys may be wondering, he said he was quitting reviews so why did he write reviews for Saints Row 2 and Pure (Yep, just posted my Pure review)? Well, I decided to only write reviews for certain games. So that'll probably be my new way of doing stuff on this site.

I picked up Far Cry 2 Wednesday and at first I was very disappointed and it's still not living up to my original expectations but it's getting better, the story isn't very good but it's still OK. At first, the random battles that just pop up while your driving a trail was annoying and now they're just really fun and exciting, I don't know how my thoughts changed over-night but they did. The AI is as good as they promised. I find it dumb that you have to pry the bullet out of your arm. It looks gruesome and all but it's also kinda annoying when your in a big battle and you just want to inject yourself with that needle to heal yourself. But, when you dig your finger into the bullet hole, to pick it out, make sure your not eating before because it looks sickening. I played the multiplayer today and I was surprisingly disappointed. The online user-base wasn't all there. I don't know if it was because it was just released yesterday or what but not many people are playing. I haven't tested out the map creator yet so it'll be about an hour until I try that out.

Sadly, this is all I've got for now. I will possibly write a review for Dead Space, I've started it but I don't know if I'll finish it. I will say that it is a great game. I should be getting Blitz the League 2 in the mail this Saturday or Monday. And hopefully... just hopefully get LittleBigPlanet next Tuesday. Well I'll talk to you all probably next Tuesday, see ya!

Maybe I'm not retireing from reviews?

Sasquatch sighting # 2
Sasquatch sighting # 2
Saints Row 1 really took the gaming world by storm, with it's great open-world gameplay and good story. Saints Row 2 is here and takes place about 4 years after the first Saints. Your in a coma after having the shit blown out of you and you have to fight through loads of dolphins in your coma -- alright I'm lying. You actually start off after you woke up from your "coma". This leads to one of the best features, although there is a lot of them, this is by far one of the most detailed feature.

You can choose from loads different faces, taunts, and body features. As your creating your character, this is when you realize, this game is freaking crazy -- but you know, in a good way. As soon as your realize you can put a womens voice on a fat mans body, your imagination just starts to run wild. I was sadly disappointed with the lack of voices, although those three voices are great. You can choose from more of an African-American voice, a Caucasian voice, and an Australian. The Australian voice's work is very well done.

Speaking of sounds, this game sounds great. The weapon are the best by far, but the excruciating pain you feel after your character get's hit by a huge Mac Truck, just can't be beat. The explosions on the other hand, could be so much better. Don't get me wrong, it's not horrible, but it's still kinda dull. The explosions are one of those things where you can't put your finger on it but there's something just kinda weird about it.

The Diolouge is really great. I'm not for sure if they changed their writers but every line out of Johnny's Gat's mouth is golden. And, oh
You can actually fly planes in this one, unlike GTA.
You can actually fly planes in this one, unlike GTA.
my god! You actually talk?!?! It's just crazy! Your character has it's nice funny parts, but still, no man can compare to Johnny's nice voice work and great comedy.

The Gameplay is still fast and frantic. Graphic wise, the game is the exact same as the first, there is still a load of graphical glitches. You'll still find yourself fading through random objects and you'll occasionally run into some very messed up things. Like a car, randomly flying through the air and exploding like crazy.

Did I mention, that there is a UFO you can drive? Yea, the craziness continues. There's a load of crazy objects, like UFO's, Tasers, Pepper Spray, Samurai Swords, Pocket Bikes, and midgets -- OK, I'm lying again about the midgets but still, there's some crazy stuff in this game.
Single-Player:5 stars

Multiplayer: I was very disappointed with the multiplayer, mainly because the lack of options that made the first Saints so damn good. My favorite was "Big Ass Chains", sadly it's gone too. The online co-op is great. The lag factor is non - existent and you can do almost everything you can do alone with a partner.
Multiplayer:4 stars

Re-play value: Well damn it, now I've gotta be an asshole to this game now. Although this game is great, there is very little re-play value. The online multiplayer isn't as good as the first but it's definitely worth two playthroughs, one by yourself, and one with a friend.
Re-play value: 3 Stars

Does every open-world game, have to have a Jamaican dude?
Does every open-world game, have to have a Jamaican dude?
End It! All-in-all this game is a buy, the multiplayer isn't as good as the first but the story mode and pretty much everything else is better than the first.
Final Score: 5 Stars

Taking time off of reviewing

Well yea, to be honest I've been wanting to tell you all this for a pretty long time. I'm gonna stop reviewing games for a while. To me, it's extremely tyring. And in some of my latest reviews, I've really just not wanted to write them.

I'm currently supposed to to be writing a review for NHL '09 and I've started to try and review it more than a couple of times but I just got tired and couldn't finish the review. Just if you really care, I'll give you the short version of it. It's a great game and has a lot of re-play value; 5 stars.

I look at some of the users that are my friends on here that review games and do an amazing job. People like Bennyishere and Vinchenzo, they're reviews are great and hail in comparison to mine. I look at they're reviews and see that they're's is so much more well-written then mine. I'm pretty envious of those two.

So there you go, I'm quiting reviews for a while. That doesn't meen I'll stop doing previews and top 10's so those will still be here. I PM'd Brad before he left for TGS about him possibly reading one of my reviews and giving me his honest opinion. If he does message me back again and tells me it's bad, I'm just gonna quit writing reviews. If he says it's good but could use some changes, I'm gonna go back to writing them but just not write them as much.

What are you playing this weekend and a cancelled review

So, what are you playing this weekend? It'll be a lot of NHL '09 and Gears of War for me. I've recently gotten back into Gears of War, getting ready for Gears 2. If you'll notice I didn't put NBA Live '09 on that list because the main feature I was looking forward too this year was the DNA feature. But you have to buy a retail copy to actually be able to unlock that so since I rented it over the internet I won't be able to experience my most anticipated part of the new game. A nice short review would be, the game is still pretty bad and needs some work on the AI and the refs make absolutely horrible calls sometimes. I'd give it 2 stars. I will tell you that I freaking love NHL '09. I recently saw Pineapple Express finally and it freaking ruled. I'm hoping to see NIck and Norah's Infinite Playlist next weekend although I'd originally planned to see it this weekend those plans were postponed. I also played the NBA '09: The Inside demo--it sucks too.The graphics are beautiful but the sound sucks so horribly and the shot meter is extremely annoying.Well I really don't have much to talk about so I guess I'll just talk to you guys later. Until, next time...ah who cares, I'm just gonna quit saying that.
