I didn't necessarily fuck up. I just pumped 32 points into str, so i could 1 hand the ULTRA GREATSWORD that the black knights drop. Sadly I didn't know that it's still slow as fuck, even if it's got sick range and base 350 damage on heavily armored enemies.
Lucky for me, when i went back to the asylum i killed a black knight to get the doll, but he also dropped the black knights regular ass sword, which I've heard is one of the best in the game. though it only requires 20 str to use. Though it seems like it wasn't all a waste, since some of the high level shields require 34 to 36 str to be used.
I also freed the prisoner, realized he was yurt 2.0 and killed him before he could do any harm. His ring is neat. It also seems like murdering the pyro dude because you couldn't talk to him as a result of not having eggs in your body is a common problem. I murdered him too, luckily the only spell worth getting there is the chaos fireball for joining the covenant.
