i've read a lot of different scenarios that occurred for different people, with lots of differences in who died and who didn't. i haven't started playing yet (plan to start this afternoon, having finally completed all the ME2 DLC) and I am wondering if there is a scenario in ME3 in which no one in your crew dies?

@DeF: chill out, your lordship. i only saw one other similar topic in the ME2 forum (about a guy trying to figure out which save to use) before i started this. the easy solution to this problem would be for you not to open the thread. thanks to all who responded with good info.

Thanks for the responses. What if i am not all that worried about the DLC necessarily tying into ME3? Is it worth getting the Zaeed and Kasumi ones just to sustain the ME2 experience for a bit longer? I'm thinking Overlord, Shadow Broker and Arrival are pretty much going to be definite downloads for me, at this point. Are there any add-ons that are unplayable with a post-main game save? Or not even worth bothering with with a post-main game save?

when this game was first announced, it was the closest i ever came to pooping myself since about age 3. all the press for it that i've seen thus far, this article included, has not made my enthusiasm wane in the least. i've played all of the semi-recent clone/update games, and they have paled in comparison to the original. this one seems to be the closest in spirit of any of them, has the X-Com license, and is being made by one of my favorite studios. i haven't been this excited for a game, well, ever.

I saw a fairly similar thread topic as this, but didn't want to jack the guy's thread so I started this new, slightly different one. Here is my situation:

I completed ME2 quite a while ago, and at the time did not have a connection to Live, so I did not play ANY of the DLC, including the free stuff. I really enjoyed the game, and I now am connected to Live so I want to experience more of it before heading into ME3 (which I received today via UPS, by the way, so I will be playing it at some point). As much I liked the game, though, I do not want to play the whole thing over, and will only be using post-main game save.

So, with those things in mind, which DLC should I get? Assume money and disk space are no object, and that I'd be playing post-main game, so anything not playable at that point is out. Thanks.

i support just about any project that endeavors to advance science in some way. the money could be spent in much, much worse ways, for sure.

believe it or not, i am willing to take a chance on the finale in a series i have enjoyed despite what you claim to have gleaned from watching well less than a fifth of the game.

have to go with the Hobbit. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is an intriguing idea and i am looking forward to giving it a try, along with Prometheus. I have yet to see a Batman film that i have really liked (old or new) so i can't say i have any real interest in this one. not on the list to choose form, but Moonrise Kingdom and Django Unchained will be must-sees for me, on par with The Hobbit in anticipation.

You have a neat little story there, despite the fact that I may disagree with some of your historical 'views'. It wouldn't surprise me if this a similar vein in which Ubisoft takes this. For some reason, I saw Franklin (much as you did) as the sort of Leonardo character as soon as I learned what time period this would take place in. He has a very Assassin's feel to him. Minus the gout.
