I like the new short format.

This shorter format works much better i feel, a lot more interested in keeping up with the series now. Keep it up, guys.

You guys really should allow friends, this farm is going nowhere without them. Everyone could support there favorite intern and there farms would grow exponential over night. The only problem is that you could seriously hurt some Giantbomb users by making them Farmeville addicts, or maybe they just ask there mom's to help there favorite intern :)

1st part with back to back starter was a pain

So we got the Farm, but where's the Ville? I guess I hope the investors decide to open the floodgates that I assume are the unaccepted (and future) friend requests. Or maybe I don't hope that, since I have no fucking clue how FarmVille works.

so it looks like that you need friends to advance in the game and to actually make any progress.

I want to see one of the farms get looted while the other burns to the ground.

Seriously, this game needs some challenge or something.

Great second episode. I sorta wish it would be a little longer but there probably isn't that much going on anyway and the investor episodes might still be longer than the daily updates. Nice job!

I enjoy endurance runs better thus far, but I will take this content.

This episode was a lot better now that both of them are better informed and know what they're doing, it was just the initial floundering around with what's an uninteresting game that was really testing the patience the first time round.  I'm all for more drama with little sketches involving the 'investors' btw but I understand if there's not the time for that - that's kind of the reason for this anyway.

How come we don't get to see the investors? Are they not privy to what their day laborers are doing with their cash? They need to know!

I think episodes will be better in this shorter format. FarmVille as a game doesn't really lend itself to long play-sessions, but more frequent short ones.

You're ignoring the fact they're both being tortured to death just by taking part.

I played Farmville until one day I looked at my farm and said what the fuck am I doing and then closed it and never played it again.

No matter what Kessler cannot compete with Steve anymore. Not only did he fail to cash in the $10 day one, he had to completely remake a new farm. It's pretty much over now as the more time you spend on farmville the more money you're going to make.

Why does this make me want to play now????

I agree, it just seems like he's always trying super hard to have the same humor as the rest of the Giantbomb crew instead of just doing his own thing.

If they open up the social aspect they need to set it up so it doesn't just become a popularity contest.

Why do I get no sound in this or the previous FarmVille video in Chrome? All other GiantBomb vids work fine. (Chrome 13.0.782.107 on OS X 10.7)

As a former Farmville player, I can attest that their farms will never gain more land without having friends.

Love the series guys. I actually checked all day yesterday for an upload.

Let me break down Farmville for you.

You plant stuff that grow at various intervals and earn you coins that you buy more stuff with or waste visual upgrades.

There is no real punishment for NOT harvesting your crops other than not optimizing the time spend by logging on to harvest them when they are done.

Performing actions earn you XP that raises your level and unlock new stuff to buy with in-game currency.

In a way it's exactly like progression in Call of Duty Multiplayer, the only difference is that in Call of Duty you can accelerate your progression by playing with more skill, wherein Farmville you accelerate that paying with real cash or conning your friends and family, who loves and trusts you, into playing Farmville and potentially spend THEIR real cash in it for progression.

The reason why both is popular is because of humans natural desire to watch numbers go up.

I keep confusing Kessler and Bodega...

Oh man. If they open up to friend requests, I might start playing Farmville. What a scary thought... Could a Farmville TNT not be far behind? No.

The new length is really awesome. Just enough to summarize their feelings and future plans, I'm very much enjoying this series. I hope Bodega's Butt Barn is profitable, he's doing a risky thing.
