E3 2009 Interview: Persona PSP

Hmm, might be worth a look.
Also...Atlus dude...seemed about caustic about video game journalism.

Persona! I missed you.

Can't wait until the endurance run returns!

That guy should have had a bit more reverence to Jeff and Vinny for the extraordinary dedication in the Endurance Run.

Spoilers: if you love Persona 3 and 4 you may not neccassarily like this.

Not saying there's anything wrong with it, but Persona 1 and 2 are way more serious and alot less funny/crazy.

Think the fact that he actually mentioned it and that they know it's going on is good enough for me. :]

I was expecting Atlus to slip Jeff a 50 for all the sales of persona 4 him and Vinny generated with the Endurance Run.

if Atlus had any sort of legal problem with the endurance run, it would be one of the dumbest things ever done by a company... not in a "oh game companies are out buddies" way, but its HUGE free publicity for the game. im POSITIVE the game sold and extra copy or 2 because of it

Yeah Atlus should  be thanking its lucky stars for the Endurance Run because I'm sure a lot more people have bought P4 because of it, me included.

Guess we have to wait for TGS to get some news about Persona 5

Persona 1 and 2 are alot more serious than 3 and 4, but they still have the same weirdness that 4 has.

I'd never even heard of Persona, but after watching Endurance Run I'm definitely picking up the PSP version and P5. I'm a convert!

I understand the first 2 didn't have social linking, are they adding it in for the enhanced PSP version?

Sadly, we'll hear about P5 long before we get to see it anyway... there's a half-year or so localization time for the US version after it comes out in Japan.  There may be word at TGS, but my guess is they're waiting to see how the DS and PSP Megatens are received... they know they can't stay on PS2 forever, but going to 360 or PS3 would put development time and cost through the roof.

Have to give props to Jeff for trying to get some info about P5 out of that guy.

Nice good to see there supporters of the Endurance Run, but I wanted to know who wrote Funky Students dialogue lines.

Hope there is a fair amount of voice acting. Thats been a key component in my liking of Personas 3 and 4.

There was no voice acting in the Japanese version, but I heard that Atlus USA is adding English voice acting to some cutscenes.

I admire them for going the extra mile in localizing this game.

Awesome how the interviewee knew bout Endurance Run :P 

It would have been cool if Atlus had one of the P4 voice actors there, like Chie's VA, and she just came out in the middle of the interview and said "Yooo" to Jeff and Vinny.

Maybe next E3 when they actually are talking about P5 (for the Wii).

Sheesh. For a moment I thought it would be a brand-new Persona in a style similar to hilarious/awesome P4. I played the first Persona game and I really don't wanna touch it ever again, graphical updates notwithstanding. It just isn't for me, too grim and too punishing...

damn, how many rumors are true? This truly is the e3 of rumor confirmation.
