Can't say I can disagree with Ryan too much. I bought this game on Wednesday, first thing in the morning and while it's pretty awesome to have such a significant game in flawless 1080p at 60fps without the crap draw distance of the Saturn port, there's not much here besides reveling in nostalgia. I've played it enough to justify my $10, but this game probably won't have much staying power and will be dead online in a couple of months.

By the way, who has the rights to San Francisco Rush these days? I'd totally drop $20 to see Rush The Rock and 2049 given the same treatment.

@raidendx: First you insult *THE REAL* Ryan Davis, CO-FOUNDER of this site, then you say " Dude you finished last, you can't drift, your playing with a controller and you couldn't even finish a lap" then you follow with "Daytona USA has to be played with a force feedback wheel + gears." . So which is it? First you say how easy it should be with a controller, then you say it "has" to be played with a wheel? Who the fuck would want to purchase a wheel for three fucking tracks? Also what the hell is "gears"? You mean MANUAL TRANSMISSION, or a SHIFTER? Wow, I'm a girl and I'm embarrassed by your lack of automotive knowledge.

While Jeff is the shiznitt, speak for yourself when you say he "is the main reason most people visit this site." You obviously haven't been around here for long if you think that. TRUE GB fans KNOW that what makes this site awesome is the entire staff at Whiskey, so like GTFO, kay? :)

BTW, loved Daytona in the arcades, there was nothing like it at the time, but it really doesn't hold up at all today, especially if you compare it to Forza or GT. Next time take your meds before opening your mouth, son.

A quick look is NOT A REVIEW, it's a quick look, hence the name. Ever try to hold up a conversation and play a fast paced game at the same time while recording a video? Didn't think so. Who said Ryan was trying as hard as he could? Who said Ryan was the greatest gamer in the world because he reviews games for a living? QLs are not about trying to succeed, but to give us a QUICK mf'n LOOK

And they don't give a shit what "AAA company"s think of their reviews. For being such a Gerstmann fanboy, you don't know shit about his history as a game reviewer or you'd see how asinine that statement really is. Look up "Gerstmanngate" and you'll know what I mean. It's actually quite offensive that you think that Giant Bomb would pander to a fucking developer or company.

Why wonder about their review of Forza? It's easy to find, and it was reviewed by Jeff. I'm sure you'll agree with everything he has to say.

And don't feel sorry for my husband, I'll trade his ass in for a younger model if he's aged as poorly in nearly 20 years as Daytona has. That's right "matey" nearly 18 years ago Daytona came out, not 10.

@raidendx: I know what you mean. I'm so pissed those so-called "reviews" of Forza didn't even bother to play it the right way: Triple monitor setup with a chair and wheel, with three TVs, three Xboxes and three copies of the game. It's awful how they can't play it on the most realistic settings and set a decent time at Nurburgring.

(Protip: If it doesn't say "review," it's not a review.)

Scud Race, or Sega Super GT. That game also had some good arcade music, that is it sounded great in a noisy room, but once you took it out of that setting it sounds REALLY WEIRD. Still doesn't hold a candle to Daytona USA.

Sky box stuff? Can anyone clarity this? Maybe i'm just so used to the janky old school graphics so i'm not sure what they are referring to.
