Quick Look: LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

This looks surprisingly good. I think it's only like $30 too.

Of the 3 episodes of this show i saw. This is one of them!!!! what are the chances.

What would a Lego adventure game be without being dumbfoundingly lost, only to find a really simple solution after hours of trying? That seems to be the core of these games in their design.

This actually looks good. I haven't been excited for a Lego game since the original Star Wars

That dynamic split-screen is sexy.

How does Brad ever finish a game on his own? Eve single QL I've seen that has him in it, he gets perplexed by the most obvious and simple things.

This game is sexy

LEGO Batman ruled, the first Indy game is definitely a low point though.

I think it might be time to play a lego game again. There is some great animation in there.

Between this and the Genndy Tartakovsky miniseries, I think it's clear that the Clone Wars is the best thing to come out of the Star Wars prequels.

I wonder if Brad shouts "oh my GAWD!!" so frequently when he is at home playing alone.  I think yes, yes he does.

Bradding it up in the QL.

Lego HP totally had the dynamic split screen last year.  It was what set it above all previous Lego games in my eyes.  I'll be picking this one up too.

I admit the first Lego parody game (what ever it was) was novel as it was a long way to go for a joke. But making a whole franchise out of it a bit much. Why can't they make an original IP Lego adventure game like Ole Kirk Christiansen rises from the dead, becomes Prime Minister of Denmark, takes back Schleswig-Holstein and builds a bridge to Greenland all using Legos controlled by his mind...

The game looks great but pointless.

P.S. I have precisely zero love for Star Wars.

The seem to be enjoying this QL! It would be cool if they made these games without the Lego, incorporated more realism into them.

I played the demo a little while ago ... and, no, unsurprisingly, it's exactly the same. 

These games were kind of fun novelties to begin with, but it's all worn away now and there's nothing left but a game that's not very well designed or especially fun to play unless you really like collecting lots of bits and pieces.

They're aimed at kids, but I don't see why that makes them redundant games.  Kids and more casual gamers LOVE these titles and I've been able to play through every one of these games without getting tired of them.  There's a lot to collect, it's funny, a lot of levels, great action..  and it's one of the best multiplayer experiences out there, it's just plain fun.

Yes, it's a bit over done now and they're pretty simplistic but I don't see why that makes it any worse than something like CoD, which is just as repetitive.

The only Lego games I've played were the first Star Wars and Lego Batman, and I enjoyed my time with those a great deal.

This is why they need to play through some co-op games in some endurance-like fashion. It can't help but be entertaining.

Never played a Lego game or a Star Wars game, but this one looks good.

Hey, this looks totally fine. Good kids games that adults can enjoy too. 

Brad is such a child. So full of wonder and joy. I love what he brings to Quick Looks.

IT'S DOPE! IT'S DOPE!

This game looks okay - I like the LEGO games, but personally, the game just doesn't do anything to me. The combat is just Dynasty Warriors-esque dumb. And besides collecting sh**, there's not enough there for me.

But it's still well done. The Clone Wars is a fantastic thing to base it on too, for another LEGO Star Wars game. If you claim to be a Star Wars fan, but don't watch it, you're a fool. That show is awesome. Both on an individual episode level, and for someone who watches the whole series/season. Some of the best sci fi on tv, and not boring in the least. Plus, it has great style. Absolutely fantastic.

Very impressed with the animations of the characters.

Oh gosh, watching you two trying to fit legos together by moving pieces literally EVERYWHERE other than where they need to go was perhaps one of the most frustrating quick look expierences in my life. :)

I'm sure others have commented this by now, but I'm pretty sure that Lego Harry Potter also splitted the screens like that.

Someone probably already mentioned it, but the splitscreen thingie was introduced in Lego Indy 2 
(all the Indy games were horrible, Batman & Lego Starwars I ist krieg!)  and has been in all the games after that (HP and now Lego SW III).

Wasnt expecting this to be...GOOD.  The lighting is very well done.
