This is supposdelly an internal video but it's got production values out the wazoo, like you'd expect to see in a gigantic high profile feature on one of the bigger websites. It's obviously intended for public consumption and not merely internal use.
That said, the game seems to be shaping up AMAZINGLY WELL, I look so very forward to it now :-)
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
Game » consists of 16 releases. Released May 17, 2011
The sequel to 2007's critically acclaimed role-playing game, The Witcher. Players again take control of Geralt of Rivia in this story-focused adventure.
The Witcher Sequel First Look
I see the Bioware syndrome is spreading(fake choices), other than that it looks good. But of course it's only an alpha build.
The voice acting in the first The Witcher is just fine for the most part, the actors here are different even for the main character so I'll assume that's because they aren't finalised. The game doesn't even have a tentative release date yet, hell, this is the first we've seen of it.
Fake choices? What? The first game had few choices but they did alter the storyline down the line, I imagine they've expanded it for this game rather than take the route where every choice has the exact same outcome or only affects the given cut scene with no long term effects.
Chances are that...since this is an Alpha build...the final voice acting is not in place yet.
With that said:
- A European game has pretty graphics? Say it ain't so *cough*PRIMAL, GHOSTHUNTER, KILLZONE 2*cough*
- So long as they fix the pacing issues from the first game, it'll be AWESOME.
- Make a console version PLOX
Might as well post this here if the others getting locked..
Awesome stuff. I'm really looking forward to the sequel, I'm hoping CDProjekt nail it this time around. The original for me is a flawed masterpiece, but any game now will be much improved with player feedback. The EE is not a good yard stick I think, I believe this will be better.
I traveled all over London to acquire a copy of the rare EU LE, because everywhere I went was sold out within hours, or never got them in the first place. The LE came with the OST, Map and Artbook. The artbook is pretty awesome.
Not long ago I had the pleasure of introducing the game to a Polish technician that came to fix my PC. He loves it now.
...
Added to my wishlist :D
This looks very promising, and if CD ProjektRed supports players' mods then this could be a classic!

I loved the first, and this looks like more of the same, but honed to a finer point.
Oh and since that's an internal trailer for an alpha build, I can almost assure you the voices aren't final, especially since there were 4 or so characters with the same voice, talking at the same time, when he blew up them crates
It has choices, yeah, but no consequences.@Potter9156 said:

Indeed.
It has consequences, even because you can choose two completly oposite endings." @Jeust said:

And there are times where your options decide who lives and who dies, and that changes the course of the game.
Play it more :p
It will look far better once it's had it's polish. No pun intended.
I think it looks a little crude in places, but I can easily see that all the ground work is great, and those environments are indeed stunningly realistic. It simply needs that extra gloss that comes with more time in development, pushing,
Looking at the video again, I still think the combat could do with more fluidity in the animation, in respect to transitions. of course it still looks great though, definitely an improvement over the original.
...
The producer of the game has confirmed it's coming to 360 and PS3 on the official website. How the releases will break down is not disclosed. I think it will most likely come out on PC first.

I dunno how they can make the combat system fun on consoles. They were attempting to make it more action based Zelda style for the port of the first game and I imagine that also played a part in the cancelation, it's not going to be easy to adjust, and I'm curious to see their take on the sequel... I'll be getting it on PC anyway of course, gotta love fanmade modules <3
