" why is this not a quick look? "

I think this game looks great, in a fun nostalgic way. I like the cheesy Japanese arcade plot and dialogue in it. Much like Brad and Jeff said, the voice acting is like early 2000's Japanese games. The difference between the tone in this and Vanquish is that Vanquish seems almost self aware in its cheesy craziness, whereas this is self serious and as a result achieves that nostalgic arcade "Time Crisis" esque tone more successfully. I also think more games need to make use of the clean Neo Tokyo setting. Now that I think about it, I can't think of too many games that have.

I feel - about this game

Stiff.

Always liked the idea of mind controlling people in games though I think that because Square is putting this out, it might be a bit strange as these kind of action games aren't really something that they do a ton of but might work as the developer has done a few action games. Will have to play it first hand to find out for sure.  

Reminds me of Geist. 

This looked awful in the trailer and looks just as bad in-game. It's like a early PS2 game.

The multiplayer is exactly what Demon's Souls. The fact that it's not yet been mentioned sucks.

why is this not a quick look?

Conceptually this seems really promising. But just from watching gameplay footage I have concerns about the actual execution of some of those ideas. 
 
And the movement and shooting looks clunky as hell. There are some real awkward animations going on.

I'm not totally sold, but it's a really interesting concept.

At first I kinda just thought this game looked like a shitty 3rd person shooter with horrific voice acting & a crappy story, but then I saw that Cyborg Gorilla & now I say; Fuck this game.

Psi-Ops meets Demon's Souls? Looks fun. Nothing innovative, but certainly fun.    

Jeff not only delivered a good pun, but got the Pixies stuck in my head.

Looks a lot like that Ghost in the Shell game for PS2. I kind of wanted to play it recently but coulnt find a disk. this might be alright but the shooting seems very unimpactful.

I'm kinda torn on this. On a top-level game design perspective, the idea of a single-player/co-op campaign being a series of broken up multiplayer matches has some merit, but the question becomes how many people are going to be playing the campaign two week after the game comes out? Is it short enough to have people who enjoy playing that side of things to keep going back to that, or after the initial release are you going to have a wasteland of people wanting to play Bad Guys and no one up for playing the campaign again.
 
As far as "shooting-dudes-in-the-face" goes, it seems fine enough. Kinda loose in some spots, but it doesn't seem broken. Plus the whole Geist/Messiah possess other people mechanic should get more use, especially when it adds the extra element of cybernetic monkeys.

Doesn't look like a full price game to me, but not also not so bad. Will there be some LA Noire coverage in the future, which I would much rather prefer to this. That would be totally awesome.

So it's like counter-ops from Perfect Dark, except instead of automatically spawning you as a different enemy, you have to go look around for one...that sounds like it could get kind of tedious.

love the way that giantbomb strives to make up awesome video titles and also tries to quasi copyright them :P

I hate the main dudes voice acting, it is like he is yelling into the microphone all the time !

Gameplay seems interesting, but the AI and look of the whole thing are both terrible...
 
EDIT: Scratch that. Gameplay seems generic as hell. The moving around to different players was done by BC2 on the consoles and the MP/SP thing has been done in many games, such as L4D.
