I got that too.

Probably because human technology can not yet handle displaying Peter Molyneux's balls.

Because the first thing I want to do after getting home from 8 hours of university, or 10 hours of work, is dance around in front of my TV.

Also, Kudo.. Oh Kudo..

I'm curious to find out what Natal will mean for gaming, but if it turns out to be a flop then at least we have the good old controller to fall back on.

Really wish I could get into this, but Project Natal just isn't doing anything for me.

I'll wait until I experience it myself before making final judgement, but I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis so this is kind of useless to me unless I want to be in endless pain!

Is that a definite? I think so as well, since one of the guys talking is from LionHead studios, but have they actually announced that?

I think that might be because it's a dev kit xbox rather than a retail one, it doesn't have the chrome disk tray either. Unless I'm mistaken in which case I have no idea.

I am excited for this. It sounds cool to me, as a semi-fit teenager. I still want to be able to lounge around when I play most games but this could be a cool alternative. I don't think Peter Molyneux's appearance makes this a failure, like some people have assumed because he's only making one game for it, not the actual thing. Also, I think Kudo is probably the coolest person in the video game industry. PROVE ME WRONG, I DARE YOU.

I have to say I was doubtful and still am somewhat; assuming the wireframe models they were showing was actually generated through Natal that is impressive and instills a bit more belief in it. However, they can throw all the PhDs at us that they want, what it will ultimately come down to is the games.

I was really interested until I found out that they dropped the internal 3DV chip that does the hardware processing. Now it's too laggy (up to 200ms) and a system drain (up to 15% CPU) to benefit the types of games we play. Sure there might be the rare gem that needs it, but the advances to modern games I was envisioning won't work now.

I can't wait to play a golf game with this tech, but I'll probably use my Wii Remote so I can have something physical to hold on to while playing. A real club in my house would cause lots of damage.

They are presenting Natal like it's something truly amazing... well maybe for the people that enjoy Wii games where you have to be active but I know good gamers that play fps and stuff are not waiting for more body movement.

Look cool but overrated, changing gameplay to give it a futuristic feel doesn't necessarily lay in just body movement I think, but these are at least the first steps into the next generation of the way games will be played. This and that PS3 device that blew my mind more then Nathal (in terms of actual gaming)...

Btw the video didn't show anything new, just more of the same. I would love to see this in action real-time with some actual games. For instance that skating game or a boxing game.

Personally I reserve the right to be skeptical yet, but I still say the original trailer for it from E3 was a lot of hot air. There are going to be some very cool uses and applications but at the end of the day I still see it being something that will get little use. I feel like the companies are all reacting to the motion thing like it is the end all be all, which is far from the truth. When used intelligently it can be fantastic, but the Wii alone is proof that few companies and developers use that technology in a way that is actually fun and entertaining. I see a lot of small projects coming out, some of which will be great and the rest will suck, as well as it being shoehorned into a ton of games it has no reason what so ever being in.

From a hardware and concept standpoint, I'm really interested.
I just don't want to play video games with it. Same reason SIXAXIS sucks and why I barely use my WII.
I suppose some of the UI stuff might be useful.

You know what, even if Natal works perfectly as they've described without the 100ms lag or anything, it's still going to take WHOPPING levels of creativity to be successful outside of mini-games and fitness training.

I think Microsoft's silence on software suggests they don't know what the fuck to do with it, but we'll see.

Wow, what a load of promotional bullshit. Don't get me wrong, it's neat, but that's it; same reason the Wii doesn't have any serious games on it. The keyboard/mouse and controller will be king for a long time to come.

Also, the video freezes at the end.

All I can think is that all these highly educated boffins are working so hard making this thing just so people can dance about looking like twats in front of a TV screen. This is just to sell XBoxes to those who got Wiis instead and I guess if it keeps people happy so be it.

This whole thing seems constructed and fake to me. MS rounded all these eggheads together with PR people like Molineux and Tsunoda and believe us to swallow that crap? I've seen much more impressive things fail, so why should this be an exception?

This looks great, but practically every single person at Microsoft looks like (and often is!) a douchebag.
