The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.

    And I fully expect to love Dead Space: Extraction, when the price is lower.  I am loving on-rails shooters on the Wii, why would anyone deliberately miss out on the fun?

    It sounds from your posts like you're totally geared up to not enjoy the Wii, almost whatever games exist for it. In that case, why bother?
     
    For example, you don't like Animal Crossing. I think that's one of the most innovative and fascinating games of the last decade (although it's getting a little long in the tooth now).

    When I read the title I was like "HEYOOOOOOOO!!!! BAM!!! I'm gonna get to listen to all the Wii fanboys rant!!! I'm gonna go get some popcorn, because the chances of them being right are slim!!"

    well its a family console so dont expect to many great games but my personal favorite is the hajime no ippo game  
    but a hand full of games just doesnt cut buys this console or at least not for me

    And when ever I read posts like these, I think "Vanity and uninformative."  The chances of you being able to articulate an idea is very slim.
     
    No one is really ranting.  The guy is looking for some information.  He is looking to become informed about a console and whether it would be worth while for him as a consumer.

    What oldschool said. I've neglected my Wii for a while but I went back to it and I'm enjoying it more then my PS3 at the moment.

    I quite enjoyed the Godfather: Black Hand Edition. 
     
    I think everyone else has covered the worthwhile games, but as an old school Mario lover I'm very excited about New Super Mario Bros Wii. :)

    I enjoyed that, it was about the only thing I did enjoy before selling it.
