The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.
Today in the US, Super Smash Bros. (for N64), and Ninja Gaiden (for Arcade) are released on the US Virtual Console.
Last week it was Blaster Master (for NES) and Earthworm Jim 2 (for the SEGA Genesis), preceded by Street Fighter Alpha 2 (for SNES) and Shinobi (for the Genesis).
Also for those interested, Rayman is out on DSiWare, but no one cares.
Also, Castlevania ReBirth is no where to be found....
I don't understand the release progression for these virtual console games. Are they trying to build up anticipation or something? Technical reason? If it was me Smash Brothers would have been up there very quickly and I don't see why it wasn't.

Another game that should have been up there quick. I feel like the Earthbound games would sell well as a VC release here in the US.
