Games that ask the player whether they are sure about the decision that they have just made.
People that make games are crazy, that's been evident since the 70s. Like a lot of crazy people they look at too much H.R Giger and realize that the human body is a truly disturbing thing.
Conjoined twins are identical twins whose bodies are attached to each other in utero. This rare phenomenon is also commonly referred to as Siamese twins.

Vignetting is the photographic process of reducing brightness around the edges of the screen. It is added to focus the player's attention to the center of the screen, although it has also been used for cinematic effect.

The act of changing a section of a graphic to a low resolution (i.e. enlarging the pixels) in order to "blur" it. Commonly used to censor an image.
Many Horror and adventure games use blood trails to either signify that something especially violent happened that spot and/or that following it will progress the narrative.
Most commonly found in older RPGs, fellow party members will follow exactly one square behind you/another party member.
Any object or illusion used to draw an enemy's attention, in order to lure the enemy or distract from the user's activities elsewhere. Both players and enemies have been able to create decoys in many games.
Most achievement systems allow developers to hide certain achievements, obscuring details about them until a player has earned the achievement.
