E3 Banner Contest!

Hello folks!

With E3 almost upon us we'll be rolling out three new stickies over this coming weekend to cover the Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo conferences so you all have a place to come and discuss them. But no official E3 sticky would be complete without some groovy and awesome banners, right?

After a little discussion we decided to open up the banner creation to the community and allow everyone the chance to participate and show off those 'l337 $killz' you have at creating banners!

Rules and Info!

• All users are welcome to participate in this contest regardless of alignment or artistic talent!
• You can submit as many entries as you wish. This means you could submit multiple entries just for Microsoft's topic or try your hand at submitting multiple entries covering all three topics.
  
• We are only looking for three different banners, one for each topic (Microsoft / Sony / Nintendo). So we will only ever choose one entry from each user. Essentially we hope to get three banners made by a different user. 
• As stated already your banners should have relevance to either Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony. The wording on them is down to your personal and artistic choice, we want to see users express themselves on this one as much as possible.
  
• All banners should be 600x100 in dimension and posted in this topic when finished.
  
• Closing date for entries will be Midnight, Sunday 31st of May UTC time zone. Here is a handy site to find out the time in various time zones.
• Prizes are being credited and gaining recognition for having your entry win a spot in one of the three stickies!

Unfortunately, I have no intention of dropping $699 - $999 on Photoshop.

The PC alignment feels left out as there's no conference just about us (Microsoft definitely doesn't count).

If I had Photoshop, I would be all over this but...I don't. Good luck to all that are participating though!

Perhaps it would be a good idea to say what size this banner is supposed to be?

So, when you say "banner," you're referring to an image that will be used across the top of a thread topic post?  Would you clarify that a bit more, please?  Where's this image need to fit?

I just installed GIMP but I don't have even the slightest clue how to use it. Oh well

I've made a quick template. I've uploaded it to imageshack instead of the site since GB compresses all the images you upload to .JPG. The colour used is the same as the background colour (aka shade of grey) of the first post of a thread so you can use it to make "transparent" edges.

I'm not going to enter any contest called a banner contest. It's got to be a sinister plan by the mods to try and ban people!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's my Sony attempt. May see revised editions along the way, but this is pretty much it. Check out banner, Michael!

Made these all spur-of-the-moment like. After seeing what some other users are doing, I think I'm gonna have to go back to the drawing board.

No consistent style is used either...

Wow this is going to be hard to choose the winners... there are some great submissions.

Now I'm tied between zyn and twilight. I'm teetering more to zyn because he include a GB logo in his banner but twilight's looks more professional.

Twilight has the best so far.
