Giant Bomb's Community Starlet Hacks Into Our Development Tools

Welcome back to another edition of Giant Bomb's Community Starlet! This community appreciation feature is where we put the spotlight on a particular hyperactive Giant Bomb member, and undoubtedly help him or her develop a fierce superiority complex. The narcissistic shout-outs have already begun between past Starlet winners. For instance, B0nd07 has apparently welcomed buzz_clik "to the Starlet club.” Honestly, I only know of one Starlet Club, and it has nothing to do with Giant Bomb, but that's a different story all together. Anyway, this weeks Starlet has sunk his teeth deep into our development tools and provided all of us with a means to gamble with our awesome Quest XP.  

Takua108 has more than surpassed our super secret requirements to achieve the highly coveted title of Starlet, but let's save the details for later on in the post. For now, we're going to take a few minutes to explore Takua108's less than perfect but still quirky side projects.    

Besides creating the page for David Coubern (better known as the voice of Captain Planet), Takua108 was able to find time to create these Giant Bomb-themed microgames. This one here in particular is called "Tiny Bomb" and apparently all one needs to do is click on the tiny Giant Bomb bomb as it bounces around to blow it up. How this microgame didn't reach fame and fortune is beyond me.  

"The site allows you to register your Giant Bomb account, converting your previously-kinda-useless quest XP into points that you can use to place bets on how well you think any given game is going to be reviewed by the Giant Bomb staff."

    

If you've been wondering what you can do with your quest XP, then Takua108 has taken it upon himself to help you further enjoy your Giant Bomb experience with yet another layer of metagame abstraction. He's certainly making great use of the Giant Bomb API, and the community staff here at Whiskey Media couldn't be more pleased to try it out for themselves. Do yourself a favor and check out this addictive time waster here! 

As for the rest of you non-Starlets, keep writing your blogs and posting tough guy images of yourselves. Remember, we're watching you!

Well deserved. i'm calling it is great, and it's nice to see his WarioWare games get a shout-out as well. I have unfortunately not made any Giant Bomb-based microgames yet. Maybe I should. Remaking Game Boy games is my current priority...

I have 3,000 points on reviews coming out this week, finally gives me a reason to go and clean up some quests.

If you have to register your account on his site, that means he's got your GB password. Who knows if the guy is legit or not. Call me paranoid, but I'll stay away from there.

There's something about betting over a review score, that promotes more care for the score and not the review in my opinion, which theres too fucking much of all over the internet already, so whatever, but i still think it's kinda annoying. 
 
Though in essence, it's very fun. I'm probably worried over nothing, it will remain the same as always no doubt... for better or for worse.
