Got this email from Atlus....
That's interesting. I'm glad some companies are learning that these quick looks are selling the game to people, not just showing off gameplay.
" I'm not sure that Kenka Bancho Quick Look really sold anyone on that game. It actually looked ridiculously awful. "You'd best step down!
" is atlus a successful developer ? like, a big shot company or a small time one ? "They are kind of big. Their games do better in Japan than in the US. though.
They're a fairly big company, they do a lot of publishing jobs for games and such." @Ahmad_Metallic said:

That is pretty cool.

So Giantbomb is playing in the big leagues then! super
I might get it once I get a PSP.
" I'm not sure that Kenka Bancho Quick Look really sold anyone on that game. It actually looked ridiculously awful. "I will end you!
The Quick Look actually pretty much sold me on the game. The premise sounded goofy enough to begin with, but in motion it looks like some of that classic Japanese goofiness of the sort that reminds me of the Dreamcast days.
" I'm not sure that Kenka Bancho Quick Look really sold anyone on that game. It actually looked ridiculously awful. "you don't even know what fun is do you half way through that quicklook I was thinking "I fucking need this game now"
" Wait, is there a dude dressed as a banana in one of those screenshots? That game is crazy. "not one, but two.
For the person who asked if Atlus is for real...they've been around since the early 90's. I think that spells success in some form.
" is atlus a successful developer ? like, a big shot company or a small time one ? "Atlus is very much an independent developer. Many of their games from the past have limited runs before they stop pressing them, which is why some of their games cost so much used. Disgaea and Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne ended up getting some bigger numbers in the States in comparison to older games, so they started distributing a bit heavier over here.
Personally, Atlus happens to have one of the highest standards of RPGs out there.
" Giant Bomb was also featured on the Persona (Remake) ad as well. I think Giant Bomb is taking over Atlus now. :P "ITS OFFICIAL!
Giant Bomb, Co, LLC has bought Atlus Co for 44.4 Million Sporebucks. Their new merger will be called Atlus Bomb Cement and Upholstery Services, Co.
" GB+Atlus=awesomeness "Indeed, let's hope they make something similar with the upcoming Trauma team game because it looks awesome and deserves to be played by more people.
