Too many to count...
How many games have you beaten this year?
So far...
Completed in 2014
1. The Stanley Parable Mac For the first 20 minutes I was wondering what I'd spent my money on. Then it clicked and I spent the next few hours uncovering every ending. The Stanley Parable Adventure Line arc is worth the price of admission alone.
2. Battlefield 4 PS4 version - I feel dumber having played this all the way through and Irish is one of the worst characters I have come across in any game.
3. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Loved the first 2/3rds, but then then it did that typical Uncharted thing of throwing a million enemies at you at once for the most of the rest of it.
4. Tomb Raider Definitive Edition on PS4 Pretty much cemented this as my favourite game of 2013 and made me very excited for the potential of the new consoles.
5. South Park: The Stick of Truth
6. inFamous: Second Son
7. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
8. Wolfenstein: The New Order I'm not a straight shooter fan, but I really enjoyed the story and the characters in this.
9. Watch Dogs | |
10. Sid Meier's Civilization V Not that you can ever complete Civ. But at this point I'm at over 70 hours for the year, so it's going on the list! |
My list of games:
- Last of Us
- Last of Us: Left Behind
- Bioshock Infinite
- Mass Effect 2
- Mass Effect 3
- Alan Wake
- Alan Wake: The Signal
- Alan Wake: The Writer
- Alan Wake: American Nightmare
- Remember Me
- Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3
- Resident Evil 6
- Silent Hill 3
- Tomb Raider
- Saints Row: The Third
- Lego Star Wars: The Complete Edition
- Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (PS2)
- Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (Wii)
Next?
- Resident Evil 0
- Fragile Dreams
- Pandora's Tower
- Star Ocean: The Last Hope
Afterwards maybe:
- Resident Evil Remake
- Muramasa Demon Blade
- Binary Domain
This year, well not that many to be honest. I'll try to list the games I beat this year from memory.
1. Tomb Raider
2. Dishonored
3. WWE 12
4. WWE 13
5. NBA Street Home-court
and that's all I can think of. I've been using a game trading site to get most of my games recently and I've been getting some old ones.
Lets get this to to the top again. Its a good subject.
When i was a child. Grew up in the 1990s and my first consol was a PS1. I was more interessted in gaming. I still play today, but its very few games that REALLY makes me think. WOW that was a good game. Very few. I also have a little adhd like a dude in the thread. Though i did not as a child.
There can be various reasons if i dont finish a game. 1. ITs too hard. 2. Its too boring. 3 REALLY poorly made. 4. My concentration.
So its not a lot.
And i really admire those who can finish almost ANY game.. Since i think a part of them are very hard, and i end up dying ALL The time.
I am only gonna count those i beat since i became a grown up. i cant remember the others.
I started gaming again a cople of years ago. i am 28 now.
But this is over 1 year and 6 monts-
Call of duty modernwarfare 1,2, and 3.
Black ops, 1, 2 and 3. Ø
COD ghost
COD infinity warfare
COD advanced warfare
COD world of war
COD ww2
Until dawn ( favorite game of them all since i started for two years ago)
Wolfenstein the new order
Alien isolation ( i am GOING to finish this. i am over halfway through)
I know its not a lot. But its not a lot of game that really interesst me.
Most games i play a couple of hours. ANd then i am not picking it up again.
Soo thats just the truth.
But i am sure in 2018 late, and 2019 there will be some interessting games.
@therealphille: Based on the games you've listed...you should play Titanfall 2. It's short so you won't burn out too quickly; Cheap so you won't feel burned when the campaign is over in 6-7 hours; And most importantly, it's an absolute banger from start to finish.
Here's what I've beat so far this year in the order I played them:
1.) Pyre
2.) Sleeping Dogs
3.) Horizon: Zero Dawn
4.) God of War
5.) Mass Effect 2
6.) Overwatch (I know you can't beat it, but it's the first time I've sunk significant time into it that I consider myself competent now)
7.) Assassin's Creed Origins
8.) Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (again, you can't beat it, but I at least beat all levels and maxed out one character)
9.) Last of Us (replayed it on hard)
10.) Fallout 4
11.) Darksiders
And I'm getting close on Halo 5 and Nioh.
@big_denim:
I actually had it laying around. I have played it for an hour. Its really good. Thank you. just my taste. (Titanfall 2)
I forgot i have finished rainbow six siege. The 12 missions/situatiions.
one of the best shooters i have played on ps4.
Next games: Wolfenstein ps3, Wolfenstein old blood ps4. Outlast trinity.ps4 FEAR 1-3. ps3 ( If they are are good enough made for their time), get even ps4 and inside ps4.
I like to play 2-4 games at a time to mix things up :)
So far, I've finished Nier: Automata. Not every ending (are you nuts??), but I did all the 'core' ones.
And I think that might be it. I've got an annoying habit where I'll always leave my games just before the point of no return and never come back to them... and if I do I come back to them, I'll want to restart from the beginning. :/

Dead Cells
Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Weirdly enough, I've actually been keeping track. I was curious how many games I could finish this year for some weird reason.

Banner Saga 3 - Wished they fleshed out the conclusion more. Epic trilogy with great visuals and music though.
Total Warhammer 2- Does beating campaigns count?
Mass Effect Andromeda - Argh.
I've been keeping track of my finished/played games for a while, and recently started using the site's list, which are great for that =)
I'm currently at 33, (it shows 32 because I'm waiting approval on a recent one added to the wiki). I do finish most of them, but I also add games that I played to a point where I'm satisfied and will probably never get back to.

No in any particular order, on Xbox One:
- Dark Souls
- Banner Saga (1 and 3, already did 2 years ago)
- Vampyr
- Walking Dead Season 2
- Monster Hunter World
- Nier Automata
- Bloodstained: curse of the moon
- Brave: the videogame
- Hellblade: Senua's sacrifice
- Bioshock Infinite + all DLCs (must be the 4th time I've completed this game since its release).
- Minit
- Little Nightmares
- Grow Up
- Batman: The Telltales series
- Superhot
- Back to the future
On PS4:
- God of War (didn't like it one bit)
- Persona 4 Dancing Star Night
- Persona 4 Dancing Moon Night
- Detroit: become Human (loved it)
- Dragon's Crown (never finished it on vita but now it's done on PS4)
- Shadow of the colossus (this game didn't age well control wise).
On Switch:
- Octopath traveller
Well past me in this thread is kicking present me's butt. Only 20 so far this year
- Night in the Woods
- SteamWorld Dig 2
- What Remains of Edith Finch
- The Mammoth: A Cave Painting
- Tacoma
- I am Setsuna
- Gravity Rush: Remastered
- Infamous: First Light
- The Order: 1886
- Blaster Master Zero
- Hyrule Warriors
- Destiny 2
- Titanfall 2
- Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice
- Gravity Rush 2
- South Park: The Fractured but Whole
- Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite
- Odin Sphere : Leifthraisr
- Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
- Dragon Quest Builders
- Apollo Justice Ace Attorney
Not very many at all. The grad school grind is real.
- God of War
- Assassin's Creed Origins + DLC (started in 2017)
- Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (started in 2016)
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Bioshock (started in 2017)
Mostly I've been indecisively faffing about in GTA Online, Stardew Valley, umpteenth playthroughs of Skyrim and Fallout 4, and some other open-ended stuff that I'm never going to finish. I'm mostly just killing time until Red Dead comes along and ruins my GPA and career prospects.
I wouldn't say I finish games very often, but thinking about this year, it's more than I realized.
- BattleTech
- God of War (Platinum)
- Monster Hunter World (Id count beating the main story as finished, though I played a bunch more than that)
- Monster Energy Supercross (Platinum)
- MXGP Pro (Platinum)
- Ni No Kuni 2
- Metro 2033
- Far Cry 5
I think that's it? Feels like far more than usual. I either play a lot of open ended stuff that you don't really "beat" or I play things and don't finish them. Some very prolific people in here.
I've only finished a few. Dropped off others and got stuck on some as well:
- God of War (first ever platinum as well - that game is great)
- Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
- Steamworld Dig 2
- Shadow of the Colossus Remaster
Only two so far. Three, technically, although one I've beaten before:
1) Iconoclasts [Vita]
2) Lost Dimension [Vita]
3) Dead Cells [PS4] (I have one Boss Stem Cell, don't know if that counts)
4) Eternal CCG [Android] - (If getting to Master each month in ranked counts)
Most of my free time was spent playing Eternal CCG on my tablet. That left me with not enough time to finish more games. But I intend to finish Utawarerumono - Mask of Deception this year, probably during September, and start (and maybe finish?) Utawarerumono - Mask of Truth till the end of the year.
